Good listening

Compulsive “yes” to every request is not my problem, rather finding nice ways to decline unnecassary requests from zero-tolerance people. I did find parts of the book useful for that, especially regarding respectful “no’s”. It was good to listen to.

Don't Waste Your Time

This book is generic. You've already heard or concluded everything the author has to say. I feel like I could have wrote something better. Very little insight is offered on this subject by this book. Not worth the time. It may be good for junior high or high school kids but not adults with a lot life experience. Furthermore, the assertiveness problems the author presents is only from a first world privileged position i.e. Someone getting your order wrong at Starbucks. Really? There's real issues in the world. I recommend reading Brene Brown's books instead. Her honesty through vulnerability approach to solving people pleasing has been working well for me. Save your money or audible credits!

Assertiveness is a Muscle

A thorough treatment if how to recognize if you are a people-pleaser and need to grow in assertiveness, and then everyday ways to practice building that muscle (hint: start with low resistance and work your way up the stack). Simple but not easy. Well done.

Extremely beneficial. Highly recommended.

Extremely beneficial. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn how to say no with confidence, in their personal life, employment, and in business. One of the important lessons I learned from this book is that the saying YES to people and perceived opportunities which not in line with your goals it’s saying YES to yourself.

Thank you, Damon. Great work!

Very Helpful Indeed

“I don’t write reviews on Amazon.”

See how effective the book was?

Honestly though, this book was very helpful in showing me ways to decline requests without going too far or being needlessly cold once finally frustrated.

This book is good for putting out smaller fires before they become larger ones.

Great book!

Just the right length, lots of info and tips without saying the same thing over and over like some other books of this type. Really enjoyed it

It could help some, but it was lacking

The book had potential and some elements were very good. However, it is far too short and I never really appreciate adverts in a book I've bought.
worth a read, but don't think it'll change your world

Confusing and full of contradictions

I wanted to love this book but found it very difficult to follow. Say a simple no/don’t use the word no, don’t give an excuse/give a reason etc.

I think the author meant to offer different approaches to different scenarios but this wasn’t made very clear.

He spends a lot more time talking about what not to say rather than giving great examples of what to say.

Important book to enhance your self-image

Digestible, practical, and with good examples. I recommend it to people who struggle to say no in general life, although the book covers different aspects in life, but not in advance way.
