Not for the average.

It's a good book if you're looking to up your fundraising game. But, if you're looking for start up fundraising advice as an average consumer who want to start their first start up, this book isn't going to help much. The book assumes you know a good amount of the inner workings of the business/investment industry.

Pretty Shallow

This talks about the basics of getting in front of potential investors but doesn't talk about any useful mechanics of how contracts work, features to look out for, funding features, and so on.

Meh…

audiobook is definitely not the best format for this
there were lots of “promotional stuff” in there. I personally do not like books when the author is advertising or promoting something.
A lot of the information in this book could be found online easily or were common sense. in other words if you’re really trying to fund raise for your start up this might not be the best book.

Loved it!

Such a great book, somethings I already knew. But it just reminds me to keep going and outlines some great information to apply that’s practical.

Wow. Super helpful. How can I add a $ tip??

Practical with examples and valuable tips now I want to buy the hardcover if available. I’m a startup pre-funding pre- seed and this was spot on. Great job guys!

Good informative audio book

Enjoyed the audio book and it had some great information to take away but there are some chapters with lists and example documents that don't translate well to being read aloud. You'd be better off with the physical book

very superficial advice

the author keeps it at a very generic level making it no more than a light reading for beginners. I'm happy I listened to the audible version so that I won't waste money on the paper version to go into my library.

Good but good go into more detail

It's a good book I learned a few things but there was no mention of how much equity investors look for in each round or any advice on how much to offer in each round etc. This info is very important because any startup is going to ask them very quickly

it's so so

Some good content but felt a like an advert for the author's business and there's plenty of that for online
