Publisher's Summary

First, there was The Arrangement—a scandalous story about Peter and Ainsley Greenburg's attempt to fix their marriage, no matter the cost.

Then came The Amendment—with their darkest secrets revealed, the couple set out in a treacherous attempt to repair what had been broken.

Now, Peter and Ainsley's marriage will be put to one final test with The Atonement

Ainsley Greenburg has always been a fixer, but her latest attempt to repair her marriage left it more damaged than ever before.

Now trapped in a vicious game of cat and mouse with the man she thought she knew, Ainsley must do what it takes to put out the fire their arrangement ignited, but it won't be that simple.

As Peter closes in on her, Ainsley finds herself driven down a path of paranoia and fear. Her only hope relies on her ability to trust her instincts, but they've let her down before. This time, there's so much more at stake, and the secrets waiting to be revealed will change everything.

Whom can she trust when her world is up in flames? One wrong decision could cost her everything she has left—her family, her home, and her life.

With a final showdown looming, Ainsley must decide what she's willing to let burn in order to survive. As the blaze continues to heat up, it's only a matter of time before someone must atone for their sins.

Part 3 the ending of it all

I normally read more educational and inspirational books but once I got a hold to part one of this sequel ... I have read all three. The plot twist. The craziness. The characters. The audible was great to listen to for all three. You will not be disappointed. No spoiler alerts from me but plan to finish quickly.

Is it the Final ending ??

This is the 3rd installment following ‘ The Arrangement’ and ‘The Amendment’. Wow! The two books knocked me off my chair from all the roller coaster rides, twists and turns in the plots…Finally, ‘The Atonement’ was what I have been waiting for…to hear what Ainsley would do…how she would find an out to the nightmare she has been living. Kiersten never fails…she is a true storyteller , leaving the reader /listener with angst and nervousness, pacing as one listen to the plot…The narration continues with the same narrators and they did a phenomenal job - especially George Newbern…he brings out Peter in every way….what a high this series is and the 3rd installment left little room to question if THIS IS THE END….

I couldn’t wait for it to end

I hate writing bad reviews but this book is so boring which is the exact opposite of what I expect when I listen/read a Kiersten Modglin book. Had it been a stand-alone novel I’d never have finished it.

The first book was riveting and fun, the second was good but not as great as the first, and this one was downright boring. I understand the idea of wanting to make a series out of the attention that The Arrangement garnered but, I feel like they were rushed. While I admire the amount of work Kiersten puts out, sometimes her books feel like quantity over quality and this was one of them.

Characters seemed different

I want to start by saying I enjoyed this book much more then the second book in this series. With that said I also felt like the first book was fun in a very twisted way and the second book had the same vibe but this one was a dark twisted tale that strayed from the first two. It was a good book but felt like a totally different story.
