Publisher's Summary

When it comes to life's fun and games, always know: The rules. What's at stake. When to quit.

Wise words from...well...my fortune cookie. But wise words, nonetheless.

I just wish the Fortune Cookie People had considered how hard the whole "knowing when to quit" would be to carry out when a woman like me is gambling with her feelings. Heart-palpitating, vageen-tingling, butterflies-in-my-belly feelings for a noncommittal, hot-as-sin player by the name of Jude Winslow.

After a crazy night where we were both pretending to be someone else, I've found myself immersed in the fun of the fling. The thrill. The irresistible charm. The pleasure of being with a man like him.

Problem is, I'm positive he's the exact opposite of husband material, and that is a serious issue for someone who is fixated on finding her happily ever after.

I know the rules and I know the stakes, oh wise Fortune Cookie. Now I'd just like to know how close to self-destruction I have to get before I find the will to quit Jude Winslow. Goodness knows, when your heart is on the line, you can't ante up your bet with an IOU.

Contains mature themes.

4 Solid Stars

First, I’ve never read a Max Monroe book I didn’t enjoy. That’s still the case. Second, I fluffing love Thatch Kelly and I never want the cameos to stop! Third, this was a great read. I laughed, I swooned, I was entertained, I rooted for Sophie and Jude, there were some super sexy scenes…yum!…but I definitely wanted to strangle them both once or twice. Nothing new in the romance genre as far as that goes. However…and stop here if you don’t want any mild spoilers….
It really irritates me that this heroine was so head over heels for this guy, and when he proposed she shot him down…it’s not even the first time she turned him down that bothers me…because reasons…but I hate that he had to do it over and over. If you’re in that deep love and you know you want to spend the rest of your life with someone and you’re willing to maintain a relationship and live with them, why are you continuing to say no to the big question?!! Oh, it all works out in the end (duh!) but come on…didn’t enhance the story for me and honestly, kinda put a damper on my romantic heart. Good narration as a whole. Tanya Eby is not my favorite but always solid. I do love me some Nelson Hobbs though! Do I recommend? Some mild irritations but still a resounding yes! 4 stars all-around.

Good story

My only complaint is the male narrator’s female voice. It’s always a little odd. I much prefer a dual narration where the narrator’s parts are done completely by gender.

Love everything by these guys!

All their stories are great for your heart. the only downside, for me, is they take awhile to come out on audio. I've developed ocular migraines so I have to listen to my books now. still buy the paperbacks and kindled to share because I want their sales to be great.

Wow

This was an awesome story that had me hooked right from the beginning to end. What started with a double switcharoo and a bet, he with a male dancer and her with her twin sister, turned into a lesson on falling in love for the both of them. She was more open as where he had baggage from his past making him not trust in love. It was all fun till she fell before he even knew he was in love. She broke it off knowing she deserved more. Miserable and lost he called on his brothers to help, while they were talking to him, he remembered a fortune teller and what she had told him about a bet. He went to his sister for help and she helped him to get his one true love back.
Just a great story.
Narration was awesome too.
