Publisher's Summary

“The single biggest threat to man’s continued dominance on this planet is the virus.” (Nobel Prize-winning biologist Joshua Lederberg ~ 1958)

Pandemics have been around since time immemorial. Since the earliest dawns of human civilization, we have been struggling as a species to deal with pandemics whenever they arise. Why is that the case? One of the most important aspects of human survival is evolution - the ability to adapt. Given that, why is it that human beings seemingly still haven’t been able to adapt to outbreaks and pandemics?

Since we currently live in the digital age of mass information, it should be easier for us to mobilize ourselves and prevent the spread of diseases. However, pandemics continue to threaten the human race. While technology has been able to answer many of the world’s problems, the outbreak of disease is a puzzle that has yet to be solved.

This book will spread further insight into what pandemics are and why we still haven’t been able to overcome them after all these years of trials and experience. It will also explore what our next steps are as we move forward into a future that is filled with a lot of threatening uncertainty and ambiguity.

Great audiobook

I discovered the audiobook to be unfathomably instructive concerning a worldwide misfortune that I knew close to nothing about. The creator weaves together the narrative of the 1918 pandemic with the historical backdrop of mid twentieth Century medication. The clinical history itself would be deserving of an independent audiobook . I found the numerous equals between society's reaction to the 1918 pandemic and the current reaction to the COVID pandemic to be to some degree terrifying.

Fascinating and Captivating

A far reaching recounting the Great Influenza, including the ascent of present day medication - or the beginnings thereof. Such a long way to go, so much being rehashed today. Entrancing and Captivating

Best audiobook recorded on the 1918 Pandemic.

This is an interesting tune in. I particularly delighted throughout the entire existence of medication, which incorporated a ton of conversation of the awful condition of clinical training in the late nineteenth century. Best audiobook recorded on the 1918 Pandemic.

Loved it!

This audio book will spread further knowledge into what pandemics are and why we actually haven't had the option to conquer them after such a long time of preliminaries and experience. It will likewise investigate what our following stages are as we push ahead into a future that is loaded up with a great deal of undermining vulnerability and vagueness.
