I thoroughly enjoyed this well written and well told story. The storylines are interesting and captivated my attention from start to the very end! The characters are well developed, loved the chemistry between Paige and Gabriel. Their secrets kept me wondering, especially Paige’s past. Johanna Evelyn plots is nicely and all is revealed by the end with lot of drama and twists in between. This is a sweet, second chance romance and a second chance at living life again too. Thank you for this great read!

I listened to the Audible edition, the narrator, Nancy Peterson does a wonderful job narrating and telling the story. She performs all the voices of all the characters, she brings them to life from the pages to your ears. Thank you for a great listen and putting a lot of heart in this story.

Great Second Chance!

The Billionaire's Secret by Johanna Evelyn pulled me in. I love books that have romance, suspense and mystery in one. Paige and Gabe are the main couple featured in this book. The narration by Nancy Peterson was outstanding. She portrayed the various characters with distinguishable voices that I could hear exactly who was speaking. I especially loved how she performed Paiges's insecurities and vulnerability. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. This clean romance book was so well done!

A Sweet Second Chance

I was pleasantly surprised by this adorable listen. The author does an excellent job writing this beautiful second chance romance. It's a pretty clean romance that grabs your attention and keeps you cheering for their love to flourish. It was easy to love all of these characters.

The narrator did a spectacular job on this performance. She really articulated the perfect amount of emotion throughout. She was a perfect fit as Paige, and she did an excellent job differentiating between characters.

Great Story

This was my first Johanna Evelyn's book. This is the first book in The Billionaire Club. This is a sweet contemporary and clean romance, with mystery, and a little suspense. I love Gabe and Paige's story. Paige is a wonderful and strong character, who had a horrible past. Gabe is a handsome character, intriguing, and so kind, and so protective with Paige. The secondary characters are also very interesting. Now, I can't wait to listen to the next book in the Series, The Billionaire's Conflict. The narration was really well done. Nancy Peterson has a great voice, easy to understand, and a great pace. I enjoyed my listening. She also has a great male voice! I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Entertaining

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I enjoyed this story very much the narrator was a little slow so had to speed it up to 1.25 but other than that it was a good listen and I loved the double engagements. Loved how the story started and how in tune the two became after discovering who they really were to each other. The plot twists kept me guessing on some of the things.

Clean Contemporary Romance

This is the first title I have had the opportunity to read by Ms. Evelyn. I actually didn't know much about the title, other than it was a contemporary romance and was considered 'clean' (no sex, violence or language). I really really appreciated this, so I gave it a whirl.

The story was good. A little mystery, a little suspense and romance. I won't go into details, because I don't want to spoil anything. I only gave 4 stars for the story. There were several situations in the story when I was taken out of the story (hit with a blast of cold air). Paige would go from high anxiety emotions to laughing/flirting within a few sentences (in the same scene). This happened a few times. It just felt like the author didn't want to spend the time developing these scenes. Why not give me the extra hour and a half to make these scenes really work?

I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Gabe and Paige grow. I like how the author developed their romance. The mystery thread in this story also felt a little rushed. I wanted more backstory information to be shared throughout the book instead of it all coming out nice and neat at the very end. Again, it felt rushed. I would read another book by Ms. Evelyn. This story was a light read and I expect the others are probably similarly formatted. I like how the words flow from this author, but I just felt she could have given me more. I hope she'll shoot for an 8 hour book in the future.

I loved the way Nancy Peterson performed this story. She completely captured Paige's insecurities and vulnerabilities. Her male voices were wonderful. Gabe is sexy! I could totally picture him in my mind. There were 3 main male characters and I always knew who was in the scene. There were 3 main female characters with a couple more that popped in, but again, I always knew who was in a scene and who was speaking. This is not the first audiobook I have had the pleasure of listening to by Ms. Peterson. She is one of my favorite female audiobook performers.

Mystery Meets Modern Fairy Tale

Billionaire books are today’s version of fairy tales, except Instead of a wand, they wave around cash. If a good dose of intrigue is attached, I’m there for it!
I didn’t know what to think of Gabe at first. Was he the good guy or something more sinister? His secret isn’t the one that seems obvious, at least exclusively.
Paige lives as a recluse, trying to live off of the grid in NYC (?!)but feels drawn to risk her anonymity to go out for Mexican food at a restaurant, that is somehow familiar, when her persistent friend asks.
Paige clearly has secrets that she keeps, but a small box given to her by Gabe holds the biggest secret of all.
The narrator did a good job.

Sad Tragic Past

This story shines how one can escape their abusive ex. Gabe shines a light on her otherwise dark and terrified heart. I love how patient Gabe is with her and how he helps her when he finds out the truth. This story is heart breaking, yet it give hope to those who are trapped that their is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Good story

Sweet contemporary and clean romance, with mystery, and a little suspense. This is a story about Gabe and Paige. Paige has had a difficult past but is resilient. Gabe is good looking, bright and a protector. The narration was really well done. Great weekend listen/read.

Sweet, clean & totally swoon worthy!

Not just anyone can write a full length story while keeping enough sizzle to make toes curl without intruding on a private moment. The story was engaging & easily held my interest. Personally, I enjoyed the Christian undertone.
The narration flowed smoothly while adding an extra layer to this delightful tale.
I requested a review copy & am willingly leaving my opinions of it.
