Publisher's Summary

The book of Ezekiel contains some of the most incredible prophecies in the Bible, including detailed description of a nuclear war and the cleanup afterward. Ezekiel ministered to a nation experiencing judgment for its sins, and may have some lessons for us today. Ezekiel's name means "God strengthens, or God will strengthen". Ezekiel is one of the three that were called Captivity Prophets (the other two are Jeremiah and Daniel). Ezekiel never mentions Jeremiah in his writings, but he does mention Daniel three times.

So Insightful

I’m so glad to be able to ride the coattails of the late Chuck Missler when it comes to the details found by diligently reading the biblical text.

Hard to follow

I felt like he was all over the place; going off on a plethora of tangents. The book of Ezekiel is complicated enough on its own. The additional rabbit trails, just made it harder to understand. I’m less knowledgeable about the book of Ezekiel now; than I was before I listened to this. *sigh*

really great commentary

fantastic commentary very informed on a lot of different issues makes also gives very clear description of the original context one racially offensive statement made at the end that was meant to be facetious but I thought was insensitive about God playing the race card but other than that the rest is exactly what I was looking for

some excellent insights, but mixed with racism

I found Chuck has studied the Bible quite faithfully and presents some fascinating insights, many of which hold up well to scrutiny. I found lots of useful information for my Bible study and for classes i get to teach in my church. I also came away with a number of valuable insights that bring me closer to my Savior. However I find that I have critically assess what is supported by real facts. Chuck picks and chooses what science he believes in, resulting in presentation of pseudoscience that supports his political views (e.g., anti climate change). However I was quite concerned about several racist comments against Muslims and a very strong "us vs. them" mentality against anyone who is not evangelical Christian. The statements Chuck makes makes it clearer why we are dealing with the radicalization of the Christian right. An important statement that Chuck makes is that anything that doesn't bring one closer to their Savior is an idol. I worry that several of the statements did not bring me closer to my Savior and the teachings in the new testament. thus, this must be listened to with great caution and I can't in good faith recommend this to anyone.

Stop using politics in the things of God

I was enjoying this audiobook until the speaker started insulting liberals, classing them all basically as foolish about how the world was formed. Not all liberals believe in the Big Bang theory. Many of us believe in creation just like you. I am not one to judge someone for their views. Lately a lot of preachers and teachers of the word are including politics in there messages. Liberal or conservative, this is wrong. The church is separate from government. Please let’s keep it that way since this is one of the reasons why there is reluctance when it comes to the unsaved coming to church.

Unforgettable life changing study

I had just finished Brother Misslers study in Revelation and this study of Ezekiel helps to tie it in to the rest of the bible. It's much more than a study of the chapter 38 war. It is fascinating!

Good work!

I enjoyed listening to the book of Ezekiel. However, I was a little disappointed to find out that it only covered the first 24 chapters, I really needed the last 24 chapters to complete my study.

Packed with detailed teaching

The subject matter is very detailed and sometimes difficult to follow but well worth listening. It will take a few listenings to really even begin to absorb.
