What is the truth about Mercury retrograde? Are you doomed if you have a planet “in detriment"? Why did Vincent Van Gogh’s chart still work long after he was dead and gone? Steven writes, “I picture this book like an astrology friend.... Maybe you get together for coffee every few months and talk about charts.” As you listen, magic happens: You find yourself escaping the pigeon-holing attitudes of conventional astrology, replacing them with the fresh air of freedom, choice, and imagination.

Story
The Wiccan religion became one of the most widely followed and popular religions in the mid twentieth century. A large portion of this credit is owed to Gerald Gardner, who associated this religion with witchcraft and attracted an enormous amount of followers. One of the main philosophies of the Wiccan nature is that everyone live in peace and harmony with nature, without any trouble.

Publisher's Summary
In The Book of Fire, award-winning astrologer Steven Forrest offers a triumphant celebration of human resilience. Supported by all nine astrological “Fire” symbols, your spirit can survive anything - and still go dancing the next day. Regardless of your Sun Sign, the healing magic starts with mastering the paths of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. It continues as you learn to embrace Mars, Jupiter, and the Sun itself. Your resilience finally blossoms in the three Fire houses: The first, fifth, and ninth.
Together, these nine powerful words in astrology’s rich vocabulary are the Life-givers. With them on your side, you can eat the Devil for breakfast and spit him out before lunch. In these chapters, you will learn how to make friends with each one of these human allies, both as they appear in your natal chart and as they move through it via transits and progressions. Each one of them promises a vibrant gift from the sky - and each one of them is as close to the core of what it takes for you truly to thrive in this human world as the marrow in your bones.
Next up: Watch for three more volumes in Forrest’s epochal Elements series: The Book of Earth, The Book of Air, and The Book of Water.

Highly recommend - The Book of Fire: The Life-Givers
I am a newbie to the details of astrology as well as being an audio learner. Steven Forrest’s vast knowledge and easy-to-understand writing style, coupled with the smoothness of Thomas Miller’s voice, his diction and on-target word emphasis, make The Book of Fire audiobook the perfect tool. Not only am I learning and remembering far more than expected so quickly, but I am throughly enjoying the process!

Colorful and different approache
Chart analysis at its finest. Forrest makes the chart come alive using everyday life examples. For the negative side of an aspect, he says "When ego takes the steering wheel", which was an eye opener for me. Thomas Miller's reading of the book is consistent, his voice is pleasing and isn't distracting.

A Newbie to Expert Must Have
Steven Forrest is writing the Elements Series as some of his legacy work and he couldn’t have offered a greater gift to the world. His knowledge and application of astrology is like none other. You just don’t get this practical kind of “evolutionary” advice in other (often dry) astrology books, spun with Steven’s unique style (I’m a fan!)
This book was perfect as an audiobook because it doesn’t have charts, so you don’t miss any visuals by not being able to see them.
The narrator does a fine job. I actually like the separation for this series from author and narrator. Steve has a lot of courses and videos online and I understand will be creating more as part of the legacy project. Here, you get a sense of reader (listener) / author separation, which, to me, makes him even more of an authority and works for this series.
The book is written as a reference guide, so am going to pick up a physical copy for when I need to look some of the aspects and alignments up. 5-stars. I highly recommend.

It's LITerally amazing!
I consider myself a student of astrology. My goal is to be able to read and understand my chart so well that I can use the knowledge to make adjustments and improvements in my life. It is easy to become overwhelmed with the numbers and systems out there and honestly that is where I get frustrated. This book and the like, take giant concepts and break them down in ways that layer the foundation required to understand the complexity of astrology. This elemental approach to understanding the chart makes sense to me and it also helps that the narrator is clear, confident and engaging! I love this book and will look to read the rest of the series!

Astrology as a SPIRITUAL Journey
WOW! This book offers a completely new and fundamental view of astrology that allows the listener to deeply interpret their birth chart as a spiritual map to guide them in their journey through life.
Astrology is not FATE rather it is understanding fully your strengths, weaknesses, and possible current / future / lifelong challenges.
I highly recommend this audiobook & I cannot wait to listen to the other 3 audiobooks in the series (Air / Water / Earth).

Master Class
I've been a Steven Forrest fan for decades, but as a practising astrologer, I hesitated about buying this latest series. After all, I am way past needing "cookbook" explanations of signs, planets, houses and aspects. But just like Obi Wan Kenobe to my Luke Skywalker, the old master always has something to teach me. Written in his typical conversational style, I could hear his voice behind every word even though he doesn't narrate himself. This book is perfect for anyone wanting a clearer and deeper understanding of their own chart and life journey, and works equally well for beginners and experts. With a strong move toward more traditional astrology in recent times, it was actually refreshing to hear from one of the greats of psychological and transformational astrology. He would hate me saying this, but in his own measured and typically Capricornian fashion, he effortlessly drowns out all those traditional voices and reminds us that this life is a journey of evolutionary growth, not just a series of events dragging us from birth to death. I can't wait for the Book of Earth to become available on Audible.

Why couldn't Steven Forrest narrate?!!!
I'm so sorry but Steven Forrest would have been my preferred narrator. It's disappointing because I love Steven's work and I just couldn't stick with Thomas Miller narrating.
