Publisher's Summary

Matthew presents Jesus Christ as the Jesus as the Meshiach Nagid, the Messiah the King, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. It was written by a Jew, to Jews, about a Jew.

This book of the Bible uses more Old Testament quotes than any other. The Gospel of Matthew emphasizes the saying of Jesus, including 10 parables not found in any other Gospel.

After first establishing the royal genealogy, he then goes on to focus on the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies. Matthew uses the term "fulfilled" 82 times! Many scholars now believe that the Gospel wee written before Paul's first imprisonment of 57-60 AD, and that virtually all of the New Testament books were written before Jerusalem's destruction.

hearing and the hearing of the word

sometimes I get frustrated with him because every chapter he repeats what he has already gone over from the previous chapters spends half of the time going over what he was saying in the other chapters although I know now that we learn by hearing and Hearing and hearing I did learn a lot from this book I wish I had Mark Luke and John by him I love the way he gives the Hebrew meaning and the spelling and how he expounds on all the versus it helps me draw closer to my Lord

Great Lesson

Chuck Missler has always been one of my go to people for scripture analysis. This doesn’t let you down. So much better that he is actually teaching rather than reading. Will listen to multiple times.

The Greatest Story ever told

I learned so much, but only scratched the surface of a story so deep. Repent and believe on Him.

Great information but hard to listen to

The book contains a lot of great information but i found it hard to follow. Chuck Missler kind of mumbles a lot of it and seems to go off in a lot of tangents. I read commentary by Dr. Bill Creasy and they were outstanding, so perhaps there was a high bar set but this didn't come close for me.

Excellent Bible Commentary of Matthew!

I needed a teacher to help me truly understand the Bible and the amazing book that it is. Well, Chuck Missler is that teacher and I needn't look any further! Dr. Missler has such amazing insights that are very intriguing to listen to and they really add a different kind of dimension and depth I found to be very refreshing. As Chuck states throughout his commentaries, each book of the Bible plays a vital role in telling God's holy word. You'll discover that the book of Matthew is much different than Mark, Luke and John. He tells the story of Jesus through a different lens and what's interesting is how Dr. Missler expertly educates you on these differences as you diligently follow along in your King James Bible. There are such a treasure trove of gems you'll pick up from Chuck that you won't hear from other scholars. He truly is a "teacher's teacher." It is clear early on when listening to Dr. Missler that he has a knowledge of the Bible that is LEVELS above other scholars out there. But unlike his peers, in my opinion, Chuck makes the Bible easy to understand and fun to learn! Matthew will be the first of many (and soon to be ALL) Bible book commentaries I will be purchasing from Dr. Missler! Very very grateful to God for helping me find Chuck!!!!

I love Chuck's heart for our Lord

Beautiful feet. I'd like mine to be that way too. Chuck's work will equip you! Remember John 3:18 as you listen. Chuck is wonderful and I love him very much; he desires to help us and inspires us to raise the bar on our personal walk which is a treasure. That said, I found it helpful to meditate on John chapter 3 after finishing the audio book. The End can be a terror if you loose sight of our King's great salvation for all who believe on Him! Chuck's last chapter in this audio presentation is softening to the heart; I loved the insights into Psalm 22 and the great love that Jesus had for us to endure a punishment that rightfully belonged to us. He truly is our God and our King, the Mashiach Nagid.
