This is how it’s done. This is why it’s done this way. This is the result you can expect if you do it.

These three pieces of information inform a conclusion about every part of each of our lives. Yet it is these three pieces of information that most often set an insidious trap - a trap that has held the imaginations of generations captive to the belief that because they are doing the best they can do, they are accomplishing the best that can be done. And while each of these three statements are true, not one of them is the truth.

Dive deeper with best-selling author Andy Andrews as he shares his unique philosophy regarding foundational thinking. Through his unique and captivating storytelling, Andy helps you search for the reality that lies beyond the boundaries established in the name of “best practices”, “industry standards”, or “the way things are done”. For it’s at the bottom of the pool that you discover a pathway to extraordinary results that most people in your position do not even know are possible.

In an audiobook-exclusive bonus track, producer Gabe Wicks sits down to have a humorous conversation with Andy Andrews, where they discuss writing, characters, and what it means to narrate your own audiobook.

Not sure what this book is about.

I got half way thru this book and realized I didn't know what it was about or why I was reading it. I like Andy Andrews and enjoy hearing him speak. But it took so long to get to the point that I got lost. I think the point is how to improve your organization/companies' results. But it was more like sitting down on the back porch with someone telling a long, wandering story. If you have the time and patience, it can be enjoyable, if not then you're just itching to get up and go.

Quite shallow for what it promises

If you had never thought about yourself and your life or career deeply, then this book is a good start. I personally found it quite shallow for a book that promises to go deep. But I have to admit, it was a good reminder. The book is full of metaphors reflecting the author point of view. I was hoping for more tangible advice about how to think beyond our boundaries. I wish also he left God out of his conclusion.

I was not a big fun of patriarchal comments such as (I'm rephrasing) "I want my son to shake hands like a man", "no body is going to hire him because he knows how to high five". I am hoping by the time his son is old enough to get a job, we won't have anymore people hiring you because you know how to "shake hands like a man". Hopefully, you will get hired because you are competent not because you meet some outdated stereotypical measure of manhood.

I liked it.

I have been a fan of Andy’s for a long time. I’ve read almost all of his books, and I have enjoyed everyone of them. This book was no exception. If you have heard Andy speak, you will hear several themes rehashed, but don’t expect this to be a complete repeat of everything he has said in the past. There is some good material here. I highly recommend this book.

As always I enjoyed immensely

As always my favorite author Andy Andrews has presented a phenom. I don’t know how else to describe it because just calling it a book isn’t enough. Andy presents situations and stories that make you think about life in a different way. What I really enjoyed at the end of the book was the fact that he was interviewed in the studio where he recorded this audiobook and it was really funny and enlightening. He has such a God given talent and his message is definitely a gift.

Classic Andy Andrew's book+

While this book isn't nearly as entertaining as some of his others with a more definite story line, it still fits the bill for a classic Andy Andrew's book. It's a great analogy to use to help us to see and reach 'beyond' that of the everyday.
