Publisher's Summary

Actor William Hurt reads this story of a small Japanese boy whose only interest is drawing pictures of cats, even while everyone else in the village is struggling to defeat a mysterious demon that plagues the countryside. Certainly a gold standard for tale-telling...

This is a gorgeous, gentle version of an amazing story. William Hurt's non assuming narration along with the usual dead-on professionalism of the Rabbit Ears series make this 100% gold.

Haunting

I first checked this story out of the library in Houston on CD back in the 1990s. It has haunted me ever since. Such an unusual and mysterious tale, and the narration is perfect. Well worth the price.
