Iris Johansen creates another Masterpiece

one of her best Eve Duncan books ...between the thrill of action and suspense and the wonderful chemistry and love between are star couples ..its a book you can't stop reading and wish it wouldn't end

Very disappointed

The narrator of the little boy and all male characters was beyond horrendous! The story was barely tolerable although I did finish it! Was so disappointed

Watching paint dry would be better use of my time

Can’t believed this Johansen's work. Narration left me wanting to never listen to one of her books ever again

Maybe time to bring the originals back together

Not has entertaining anymore. To many people have been brought in and now the plots are getting to be boring and the same.

Intelligent mystery & paranormal exposure

No surprise to me I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting but some complicated. I always enjoy the complicated engagements of the characters. I hope the series continue through Michaels adulthood.

lazy writing

They can't all be winners! I usually love this authors books. Yes even though they may be a little cheesy and somewhat predictable. This story was along the same line as Johanson's other Eve Duncan books. However, the writing was just plain lazy. Forced romance at odd moments, lines that would be found in a cornie 70s movie, and 'strong' women each trying to take blame for everything. It was pretty ridiculous.

Going downhill

Unfortunately Iris Johannsen’s Scarpetta series is increasingly difficult to listen to as the wording is more sappy and sentimental. Also unfortunate is that Audible no longer allows returns on books as easily when you have not even come close to listening to 25% of the book and cannot stand it. I do think it is reasonable to write reviews of books you cannot finish. Note that I have listened to many Scarpetta books, but no more.

Riveting

I loved this book. it crossed the very difficult lines of blended families. It also broached the medical wonder if the pharmaceutical industry. There is no doubt the lengths companies would go to hold back life changing miracles out there for them sake of the all mighty dollar.

Kept me enthralled

As always, the author has done a superb job of writing and the performer perfection.
