Publisher's Summary

For the peaceful town of Willow Ridge, November presents an early holiday surprise.

Stranded in the snow, 18-year-old Lena Esh and her boyfriend, Josiah Witmer, need more than a place to stay for the night. Lena defied her strict family and their judgmental beliefs to run away with Josiah and have his baby. But she's starting to wonder if he can prove as responsible as he is passionate, and she isn't sure how - or if - they can ever find a place to truly call home.

Expecting their own miracle baby, Miriam and Ben Hooley rally the town to help the young couple, and Lena draws strength from their unexpected support.

Though trouble may come calling, in this season of joyous rebirth, a little child will lead them. And two couples will see their dreams of forever family come true.

Great Book!!!

Charlotte Hubbard and Susan Boyce will never disappoint. The whole series is hard to put down. I have many Amish audio books and this combo is the absolute best out there today. I would and have recommended this series to friends. Charlotte knows how to write great Amish fiction and Susan Boyce brings each character to life. Amazing combo. Looking forward to more by them.

Could hardly wait...

Loved this! I was disappointed when I thought #5 was the end. Did more checking and discovered a 6th book had just become available at the end of Sept. Loved the whole series!
Looking forward to hearing more from Willow Ridge, in the Simple Gifts series, starting in 2016.

Learning to Trust God, Come What May

What a wonderful story of family, and friends . . . even strangers, who become like family, in the village of Willow Ridge. Woven throughout with thankfulness for the gifts that God had given them, Miriam and Ben Hooley, welcomed a waylaid young couple, Lena Esh and her boyfriend, Josiah Witmer, when they became lost in the snowstorm. Lena, about to give birth to their child and Josiah, impatient and bullheaded, came just to the right spot, even though they had no idea how they got there. Josiah, determined to get to the promise of a job (that sounds too good to be true) with little thought of his girlfriend or baby, has a lot of lessons to be learned. And Lena, after defying her father and leaving with Josiah, is beginning to learn of different way of living under Miriam and Ben's roof. Though evil raises his ugly head, the town of Willow Ridge is filled with folks who are determined to pull together. What a wonderful, heartfelt listen for the holidays!
