Publisher's Summary

“This two-in-one romance starts a new series that Mallery’s many fans will devour like a Christmas cookie.”—Booklist

Susan Mallery, author of the Fool’s Gold romances, cheerfully invites you to Wishing Tree, where Christmas comes to life....

The Somerville sisters believe in love, but they’ve lost faith it will happen for them. Reggie hasn’t been home since the end of the world’s shortest engagement. When her parents decide to renew their vows, she buffs up her twinkle to help with the Christmas wedding. Unexpectedly, Toby, her first love, is back too, and the spark between them shines as brightly as ever. In the spirit of the season, will they let go of past hurts and greet the New Year together?

Done waiting for the one, Dena is pregnant and on her own—on purpose. But then a gorgeous, sad-eyed songwriter checks in to a room at her inn. Micah, unable to write since he lost his wife, finds inspiration in Dena’s determination to be a mom. One snowflake-speckled kiss and he’s a goner. But Dena is afraid to believe that a rock star could fall for a cookie-cutter small-town girl like her.

As the Christmas wedding draws closer, these two sisters just might unwrap the most treasured gift of all—love.

Typical Susan Mallery

I enjoyed it. I will probably continue on with the series. I do think SM crosses the line with potty mouth sex words though. Her favorite one, "dick" is becoming old. I actually thought i was going to get through a book without hearing it but BANG, there it was. And it is always so out of the blue. The sweetest, kindest woman will suddenly be talking about the guy's "dick".
*Sigh* it is what it is.

Tanya Eby was marvelous as usual. She is one of my favorites.

An Amazing Holiday Read

This is a great new book by Susan Mallary! I love how the town is centered around Christmas, the first snow and town wreath. It's a magical Christmas story about finding true love, revisiting the past, and family. It's a quick read and hard to put down once I started it. The audiobook is great too! Tanya Eby always does a great job narrating. Visit the magical town of Wishing Tree to get into the festive mood.

Great story, painful listening!

This book and story line is excellent for an easy fun novel, but the robotic voice was painful to listen to.

Nope

This book was an 11 hour Hallmark Movie. The narrator was terrible too. Save your credit.

Cheesy Fun...

I adore this author, she writes for us readers who want a simple escape. Susan Mallory, I wish to thank you for that! However, please choose different narrator..

The narrartor- Find someone new... PLEASE!! Tanya is not "horrible", but annoying and sounds like she is pouring syrup on each character. Hard to distinguish who is who. (Nasally as well). Tanya also speaks fast, like she is nervous throughout the whole book. I was spoiled when Therese Plummer was used in previous audible books written by you.

I enjoyed the storyline and loved the cheesy aspect to it. I needed a break from all the drama of the world, and other books I have recently read. Keep it up!

The Christmas wedding guest

I am a big fan of Susan Mallery. Her characters are amazing and her storylines are entertaining. Unfortunately I’m not a huge fan of Christmas stories the characters in this book were great but the storyline was a bit boring. I can’t say that I highly recommend it although it is a halfway decent story.

Feel good story but listen UNF was a bore

The story was predictable but it still drew me in. The narrating was painful. Very robotic, like she didn’t even practice. Ugh…

Really cute story… but by a Siri like narrator

I really loved this story, but the narrator sounds just like a robot or Siri when she’s not reading quoted text. It kept taking me out of the story at first and almost caused me to return the book. Thankfully I pushed forward and grew to love the story enough to deal with her over pronunciation of words like “to”.

Love it!

This book is just what you need to get you in the holiday spirit! The love stories (yes - more than one in one book!!!!), the setting, and the performance of the narrator are all perfect!
