Food was carefully apportioned and eaten together, everyone was family. The arrival of Chinese army cars one day in 1959 changed everything. Extraordinary story of transformation

Publisher's Summary
In the latest installment of the Dalai Lama's Cat series, His Holiness' Cat ('HHC') is on a mission: to think less, to experience more, to live in the moment. She soon learns the proper phrase for this: being mindful, or a concept better known to her as the power of meow. What ensues is a journey to discover her own true nature, to gain a deeper understanding of her mind, and to experience life's greatest joy: the here and now.
Throughout, she shares encounters with familiar inhabitants of Dharamsala as well as a whole new cast of characters: a senior exec from one of Silicon Valley's most famous social media companies (hint: the name rhymes with 'litter'), the Pope's beloved dog (who shares a shockingly similar title: HHD, His Holiness' Dog), and a public health inspector who threatens to have our poor narrator banned from the Himalaya Book Café.
In this follow-up to The Dalai Lama's Cat and the Art of Purring, listeners can escape to the enchanting and exotic world of the Dalai Lama's monastery in the Himalayas and take a peek inside the mind of a delightfully imperfect creature on the path to enlightenment. By accompanying HHC on her journey, you will learn new ways to relate to your own mind: slowing down, finding peace, and abiding in the boundless radiance and benevolence that is your own true nature.

Is a Sequel Coming? I Hope So!
This is the third, and so far last, book of the Dalai Lama's Cat series. Because new characters are added throughout the series, while the original characters remain and change, the stories' pace quickens through the series. It's still perfect, in my opinion, both the author's narration and the story itself.
A couple of points to ponder: One is that if you decide to listen to and/or read this series, begin with Book One and take them in sequence. Otherwise, much of it won't make sense, which would be a shame.
Another point is that I don't know if another sequel is planned, but I certainly hope so. This book introduces you to many interesting characters and continues the storylines begun in the earlier books, but leaves many loose ends. For that reason, I hope that the series is continued. We'll have to wait and see.

The Power of Meow, book 3 in a fun teaching series
Hopefully you have started with book 1 and also read book 2 of this series. The story line is excellent because the author is a keen observer of felines and humans, and canines too.
The life lessons that are included within the story are brilliant choices and there was one lesson in one of the 3 books that resulted in instant recognition and some reflection on my interactions with people and poor choices I have made - and recognition may help me behave better in the future.
There are many threads woven into the saga, and the one about reincarnation and the same people and animals incarnating into subsequent lifetimes was fascinating.
The bonus, of course, is the gentle teaching about meditation and its benefits, and the practical teaching of meditation too.
Beautifully narrated, professionally produced, a real pleasure to listen to.
