Story
The apocalypse has ended for Adrian Ring, and the rebuilding of the world has begun. But have all the stories of the old world's death been told? Elsewhere on Earth, there's a plane filled with innocents, and a criminal could wipe it from the skies with a tide of undeath. A young man in Manhattan is going mad with hunger and fear. A veterinarian races to save her animal patients and their owners one by one. A drunk lunatic is driven to self-destruction, craving the undead horde and the absolution they will give him.

It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

Publisher's Summary
The stunning conclusion to Erin Locke's trilogy has arrived.
Lockey’s community continues to expand, but clashes with other survivors increase with equal intensity. Reunited with old friends and new ones accepted into their fold, things take a dark turn when the Nomads take a personal interest in Lockey. Selected by some unknowable force to lead one of humanity’s last bastions of defense in a global war against the dead, the Dark will use any weapon to ensure her failure.
As Lockey and Nate search for the final member of their mystical trio, their dreams haunted by ghosts of the fallen, the Nomad threat intensifies, putting Lockey’s heart through its most fearsome crucible yet.
Despite the eruption of conflict with the Nomads, Lockey’s confrontation with Maddock is inevitable, as both are marked as champions for the powerful forces at play. Countless lives depend on the outcome; one a burning flame of hope for humanity’s continuing survival, the other a menacing general of the dead. Only by dethroning Maddock can Lockey and Nate’s community have a chance to build something better from the ruins of their shattered world.
For the survivors caught in the crossfire, the stakes could not be higher; hope for a future, or a spiral into dark oblivion.
Because one way or another, the Devil will get his due.

Wow!
Danielle Cohen continues to provide a masterful performance as she brings each character to life. This trilogy concludes with all the right feels while in the AUD universe. This is just written so well. Each book is just as good as the last. Character development is fantastic. Build up is great. The storytelling of Lockey's antics are so well done that the reader enjoys her audacity as much as other characters do. It's just so perfect! If youre reading this review and havent listened to Book 1 or 2, turn around now. Listen to those then come back. Also, does anyone else here want all of Lockey's sayings in a collection? Or an audio clip collection? I'd like a button with some of her sayings in Danielle Cohen's voice. On my work desk for whenever I need it. Please and thank you.

“*We Will Rise!!!*” Freaking Brilliant
I am in utter simplistic and amazed awe at how this novel has played out. More so how even if Mr. Meadows decided to end it here as a trilogy, well shit i’d personally be satisfied.
Did i like it?I fucking loved it. Did i feel like i was in this story? Mein i got goose bumps lmao “My new chant will be from now on, ‘We Will Rise’”
So first off enough of the rambling, 😁 i was given this free copy and I’m here doing my best to give an honest reply. For reference, I’ve been given a book or a series to listen to and i haven’t managed to finish review them. So for me to bother doing so means i really enjoyed it.
I love so far that as much as it runs parallel to AUD’s main storyline in said universe i feel Mr. Meadows has done an awesome job by adhering and making me feel what it was like during the z apoc and mass hysteria in the Uk which i can only hope to see if any of these stories will intersect with the main universe. But like a main campaign, Lockey and her journey certainly makes this side quest feel like a whole new campaign with a whole lot of dlc content lmao with the whole minity trio deal . But you would understand ofc once you read or listen to the book.
From book 1-3 I’ve been glued and addicted to know whats going on. And I’m really hoping at some point Lockey in some way gets to meet Adrian.
I give this a solid 5/5 Or 10/10 satisfied and happy feels. No buts or what ifs or why did’s? That may or should have imo popped up. But again im satisfied. And here i am waiting for the “But Wait there is more” announcement🤣😄
Usually im picky with female narrators, with respect i just fall asleep. But this one did wonders and held my attention. Not once did i feel the various chars were ill represented in who they seemed to be if they were male were female etc. lol i loved the Irish aspect then again i cant narrow it down because im a foreigner. I wouldn’t know the actual background.
All i do know is i laughed my as off and kept wanting more. I would not advise those of which who cant take a bit of swears or insults to read. Because i feel yall would sully this work of art lol.
Lol im supremely curious to know now though will nate be writing or continuing this scribe like adventure? Why ? Well have a go at the book and maybe you would reach the same conclusion. I feel like im giving some spoilers yet leaving some suspense😂😁
The series has been a blast and is a standalone series by its on right. So please give it a chance compared to the the main story. Personally its the first time ive read a storyline that meshed so well.
Thanks Mr. Meadows for making my day and giving me the opportunity to fill my need to grasp the inner workings of the Universe of AUD but by Lockey and her band of survivors.❤️😄. Brilliant and satisfying.

Great stand-alone series, but even better with AUD knowledge!
I LOVE this trilogy! So smart, creative, and entertaining -HYSTERICALLY SO!
If you don’t know about Chris Phillbrook’s Adrian’s Un-Dead Diary then RUSH to get on board with his storytelling genius. I’ve read/watched zombie related content for decades, and these two author’s are my favorites.
Only mild issue I have is the narrator in this series. She’s an amazing talent, but when voicing the main character, Lockey, she pauses on the last word of phrases. It gets irritating…but that’s just me being picky.

The best of the lot!
I have been keenly awaiting the release of the book, having throughly enjoyed the brilliant first two installments. I thought "I'll get it on release and enjoy it throughout the Christmas break."
Didn't even make it to Christmas eve. That's how unputdownable this audiobook is.
The story is fantastic, it's got great pace, brilliant character arcing hailing back to the first two installments. Sorrow, grief, joy, hilarity, redemption are throughout to name some of the roller coaster.
I am very disappointed that this seems to be the end of Lockey and Nate chronicles. You can't do this to me Meadows. I can only hope one day I'll get an audible notification and up will pop Lockey and Particles battling through the zompoc wasteland. Make it happen please!
If anyone is wondering whether or not to listen, just do it. Now. It's a fresh perspective on the genre in a rich established universe that's already got plenty of content.
10/10 will listen again, likely in a week or two.

Another great entry...
I was looking forward to the conclusion of the Ascension issue, and it did not disappoint.
I was hoping for it to tie into the main AUD series just a little more, maybe through a time jump at the end or something, but I guess it's still early in the zompoc for Lockey and Co compared to where Adrian is currently at, so I'm really hoping to hear more from Carl and his ideas in the near future as to how it'll all mesh in with Philbrook's writing.
Great work, keep it coming...!

I really didn't think book 1 and 2 could be topped but book 3 absolutely nailed it. I have laughed, cried, had adrenaline rushes and extended my car journeys just to listen to more.
The story is cinematic and the delivery outstanding.
I'm hoping this isn't the end of these characters as I would absolutely love to see another set of books. My credits would be ready!

Yeah...we're gonna need another Lockey book please
This is a brilliant finale to the trilogy and it wraps up all the story arcs in a thrilling and suitably irreverent manner, it has all the elements that I loved in the first two books including Death's Grandad doing what he does best. Although these are zompoc books, personally I love them for the human characters in them much like I did with the original Adrian's Undead Diary that inspired this trilogy - these are books about humans doing human things with a backdrop of a truly awful end of the world (with a possibility of redemption?) and this journey of remaining not just alive but HUMAN through this struggle is what I read these books for. Still get a lot of laugh out loud moments though from the dialogue between Lockey and Nate and some truly epic action scenes so there's something for everybody :) Anyway....damn good book closing off a damn good trilogy, you should probably buy it :D
