Critic Reviews
"A propulsive and compulsive series. Jack Carr’s James Reece is the kind of guy you’d want to have in your corner. A suspenseful and exhilarating thrill-ride. Jack Carr is the real deal." (Andy McNab)

Good Book but Writers Bias is clear
The writer needs to keep in check his bias towards democrats, blacks, Muslims and his love of guns. They creep in and sometimes spoil the good story.

As with the 3 preceding novels, superb narration, non stop twists and turns with excellent plot throughout.
The research is fantastic and knowing the authors background and current state of the World the accuracy is very sadly believable.

Another good read/listen!
Having listened to all Jack Carr audiobooks now, I have a good idea of the general flow.
I find there is always a lot of time spent setting things up for a fast paced finish. This is ok but do find the first half of the story is slow going.
Ray Porter does a great job.
Looking forward to the next!

Dull is an understatement
Having liked the rest of this series I hate to say this... this book is unbelievably boring. I have listened to the first 4 hours waiting for some sort of action to take place and there is none.
Seems more like a bad history teacher reading dull facts from a textbook.
I don't know how I lasted the 4 hours... the first 15 minutes set the tone. I wish I had stopped earlier but I was expecting action to start and persevered on hopefully but to no avail.
Don't waste your time on this.

Very Real and Frightening
I wasn’t sure when I picked this book after finishing another excellent book, but am happy I did so as I learnt much, maybe too much to feel comfortable. How very real and frightening are the scenarios presented. I pray they do not eventuate. With the presence of Covid 19 in our daily lives and the strong likelihood it came from Wuhan’s level 4 laboratory, one has to wonder why scientists must play God with pathogens that could destroy not just human life but possibly all life on our precious planet. This is a clever yet timely book written with skill and obvious deep knowledge. Truly the portrayed events are not just frightening but are horrific. A very compelling story.
