Holy Mary Mother of Sicilian mafia hotness!!!
The Don starts off with a bang, quite literally, I mean who doesn’t love a good filthy anal screwing to kick start a book. It’s something I wasn’t expecting but was very happy to enjoy with my cup of tea and cornflakes!
The Don is book one of the Valentini family duet and interconnects with the Five Point Series. I am waiting for the Five Point Series to come to audio (14/02) before I dive into the that world, but I had no problem understanding the various relationships.
Luciu Valentini is new to New York and makes a name for himself as he steps up as head of the Sicilian mafia, not Italian, Sicilian! Luciu is a highly intelligent man. He’s an educated MBA graduate who never intended to take over the family business yet found his way to the top after everything was taken from his family.
Jen MacNeill (Fi) is a fantastic heroine. You’ve got to love a woman who has the balls to barge into a Don’s office, bend over his desk and demand butt stuff! Jen is the daughter of a whore, a self-professed gold digger who has spent her life fighting for the little she has. When Jen meets Luciu, she knows he’s mafia and is a dangerous man, yet she can’t stay away from him.
Joe Arden gives a masterclass in how to portray a highly intelligent, dangerously menacing mafia Don! Alpha Joe came out to play in the most delicious way. Growly, sensuous, dominant, loving, and downright dirty…absolutely incredible!
CJ Bloom’s performance as Jen is quite simply magnificent! CJ manages to capture the fiery, take no crap side of Jen’s personality and slips easily into the softer, vulnerable side while also showing her to be the sexy siren she is! A stellar performance by an incredible duo!
I loved this first instalment of the mafia duet and my first book from Serena, it certainly won’t be my last by this fabulous author.

AMAZING

I loved this book when i read it but listening to these narrators bring the characters to life is everything and more, joe does such an amazing job and cj wow 👌 i cant wait to dive head first into the next installment 💜

Serena Akeroyd has been my go to Mafia writer for over a year and this is why.

I almost feel like I’m cheating on my Irish Mob lovers with this Sicilian heart throb though. Luciu has so many things he plans to do to claim back everything he lost. As the new Don he isn’t afraid to get dirty….in every way.
These audios have bought to life a couple that I wasn’t sure I loved until I was in their story.
I’ve listened to multiple audiobooks and I have to admit that this is the first time I’ll be looking for a narrator specifically. Something about these guys have made these books somehow even more addictive and I cannot wait to get the next book in the duet.
And since I’m a glutton for punishment this definitely ends on a cliffhanger!! I’m so relieved that The Lady is already waiting for me to listen to!

Who doesn’t love Luciu?

I first read the book and loved it so much I had to get the audiobook.
The narration is brilliant and I just love Joe Arden’s voice.
100% recommended for any mafia romance fans, Serena Akeroyd’s story telling really is one of my favourites and the audiobooks help to bring the characters to life.

Loved it! Great start to the series!

The Don is another stunning book by one of my favorite authors! I couldn't have even guessed what would happen in this book! Both narrators are awesome, I especially love how deep Joe Arden's voice gets when he reads some of the spicier scenes. I love Luciu and Jen together. They complete each other and I think that's amazing! But the cliffhanger, oh the cliffhanger! I need The Lady Asap!
I love the story, the narration is amazing as always with those two great narrators and a Serena Akeroyd book. She just has a way with words!

Sublime

I love this book and listening to it instead makes me feel like I am living the story. Joe Arden and CJ Bloom as Lucio and Jen are sublime.  Joe Arden's Sicilian accent  makes me melt.  

While this is this book is set in The Five Points universe, it is book one in a stand alone duet. I would definitely recommend reading both The Feckers and The Sinners, just so you can experience the genuis that is Serena Akeroyd.

OMGOODNESS!!!!

Joe Arden (as Luciu) and CJ Bloom (as Jen) have sold me on audiobooks!!

Joe's voice is just perfection! And I could listen to him as Luciu for hours, he brings Luc vividly to life and gives this story a whole new edge!

I love CJ Bloom as Jen, she really brings her character to life, embracing Jen's sass and energy and portraying her so well.

Together, these narrators have taken an amazing story and pushed it further. PERFECT!!!

The story is fast and all consuming, what happens when Jen and Luc cross Sparks fly!

The Don

Wow!

This is one heck of a listen! With a storyline revolving round members of different criminal empires and featuring Luciu and Jen, the clash of strong personalities, the lengths to which people will go to make a life and defend a way of life, are closely examined and exposed in a style which is compelling and demanding. I loved the dual narration which drew us clearly and deeply into the minds of the two main protagonists. Jen is fascinating. Her strength, determination and vulnerability are all displayed in the unfolding story of rivalry, dark deeds and growing, dangerous, intense, love. Joe Arden and CJ Bloom are outstanding. Their expressive interpretations bring the listener deep into the narrative right to the cliffhanger of a conclusion. I will be wasting no time in starting The Lady! 💖💖💖💖💖🎧🎧

A fantastic book come to life through audio I must listen to

The Don is Narrated by joe Arden and c j Bloom and boy listening to them narrator the book takes it to a hole new level. You can just lie back and get lost in there voices as they bring Luciu and jens characters to life.especially Joe Arden voice as Luciu character I could listen to his voice as a The Don all day listening to the Don on audiobook just brought the characters more to life I absolutely loved listening to the book and would highly recommend this book on audio

The Don is a must read book we first got introduced to Jen in the filthy fecker books she is BFF with Aoife Finns wife. Jen hasn’t had it easy growing up and her life was far from great and now she is a self proclaimed gold digger and she is not a shamed off it. But she has worked hard in butting herself through night school to do a job she loves. She is sassy and she knows what she wants and goes out to get it. Then on a chance meeting she meets Luciu the new Sicilian Don and the chemistry is off the wall but Jen is determined not to fall for Luciu but he is going to do anything to make Jen his Queen.

I absolutely loved this story and Jen and Luciu are just meant to be together the the chemistry is off the charts between then and the first chapter off the book is just wow wow the hot brooding Don and the self proclaimed gold digger what an explosion when they both come together.

I can’t wait for Jen’s book next the Lady I think it’s going to explosive between them and I think Jen is going to kick ass big time.
