Another five star series by Mr. Wells!

By chance the first book I got on Audible was the first book in the sovereign of the seven isles by David a Wells. Narrated by the fantastic narrator Darick Perkins. I love the way that wells handles the sibling dynamic and the way that he shows love between siblings relationships and others. This series dragon fall is yet another example of how we interact and how we love and how siblings help or hinder. Sidenote I am legally blind so this comment has been talk to text.

wonderful series with a satisfying ending

the series covers all the tropes, and manages to merge them seamlessly. the tech vs magic is well explained and the battles are realistic. loses on both sides bring happiness and sadness in equal measure. a great read, and an even better listen with Derek Perkins doing a remarkable performance.

Great story amongst mindless chaff

In an atmosphere of failures of fantasy literature, SJW nonsense and minds that never grow to adulthood, this begins and ends well. I will read what you write.

Relief from leftist agenda in fantasy!

Not saying this is a strictly conservative book, but hooray for a story (in the fantasy genre) that isn’t just another regurgitation of contemporary leftist dogma. It allowed for some great twists in the story, and it has a timeless quality that helped me detach from the idiotic dichotomy of our social divisions.

David Wells books

I felt compelled to write about all the books that I just read from this writer. I don’t know anything about writing and I am not sophisticated or knowledgeable about literature, but I love fantasy and anything about magic. I came across these books on audible looking for such stories and thought I give it a try. I don’t venture to say that these stories are perfect, but I could not stop listening to them something kept on nudging me to listen to just one more until there was no more. Even after my complaining of the detailed description of fighting and gore I am not the biggest fan of, the stories and magic won out. Well done Mr. Wells. Hope you will endeavor to write more books.

Very enjoyable with some flaws

Unfortunately, the last book felt a little rushed, I love the world that's created in this series and would have loved to have seen maybe one or two more books. I don't want to spoil too much, but here be spoiler warning! I would have really liked to have seen more banter between Ben and his implant I think it could have added a lot, and the reveal at the end just felt rushed, it's just such a lush world that's built and I feel it wasn't utilized as much as it could have been in this book. That said, I still really enjoyed it , and definitely enjoyed the trilogy as a whole. I'm going to check out more by the author.

Unique and fresh

You won’t regret giving this trilogy a chance. A truly fresh and unique take on both dragons and post-apocalyptic humanity. Every bit as good as David Wells’ Thinblade series.

Disappointing ending

A very abrupt ending for the amount of build up. Didn’t meet the expectations of the build up.

A great end to the trilogy

A great end to the trilogy. In this book everything fell into place. Things that were said in books one and two now being explained. Some excellent battles fought and one or two surprises too. Will I read the trilogy again, Yes.

good performance, disappointing end

The series has been consistently good all the way through but the ending seems to be almost rushed and is a little disappointing. Must also comment that a couple of the characters who were developing nicely just regress into one dimensional personalities or fade out completely.

Enchanting...

At last I will be released from the enchantment.

From the first book I have struggled to stop listening, having become immersed in the story. I really love the complex relationship between Ben and Frank, there are many other characters and relationships throughout and the author does a fantastic job weaving them all together.

Topped of with excellent narration by Derek Perkins, each character having their personalities come alive with his superb range of voices. Derek Perkins is easily in my top 5 narrators, I think he could make the phone book sound interesting.
