Story
There’s only one rule in the world I come from. Keep our existence a secret. Period. The day my sister broke that rule one too many times, I knew there would be consequences. I expected us to be sent to one of those schools for “troubled” kids - and maybe Daizlei Academy was, in a way. But really, it was far more complicated than that. You see, I thought that world had forgotten me. Forgotten us. For years we were left alone, and one day...we weren’t. It was only when I got there that I remembered the second rule: Trust no one.

Demonstrating once again her gift for spellbinding storytelling, Anne Rice makes real for us a great dynasty of four centuries of witches - a family given to poetry and incest, murder and philosophy, a family that over the ages is itself haunted by a powerful, dangerous, and seductive being called Lasher who haunts the Mayfair women. Moving in time from today's New Orleans and San Francisco to long-ago Amsterdam and the France of Louis XIV, from the coffee plantations of Port-au-Prince to Civil War New Orleans and back to today, Anne Rice has spun a mesmerizing tale.

Fantastic Listen
The Elemental Coven was a very well planned book. I listened to this book before the first in the series and I never felt lost or like I was missing something. The story moved at a steady pace and introduced information and characters at an easy pace. The story took lots of twist and turns and I never quite knew what would happen next. I liked the characters as well. This was more plot driven then character driven I felt. I will continue with the series.
The narration was good. I would of liked slightly more distinction in some of the voices. I felt Lynn Norris added to the book with her emotion.
I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review.

Good Addition to The Witch’s Ambitions Trilogy Series
I enjoyed book 1 in this series and was looking forward to seeing where the story would go. The story continues with some twists and turns I did not see coming. The story was interesting and kept my attention.
Narration was well done and brought the story to life. I love that this narrator makes each character unique and you can easily understand who is speaking.
The story moves at a slow pace with great description of situations and the surroundings. This book picks up a bit towards the conclusion and leaves us hanging again with a cliffhanger.
It was an enjoyable book and I’m looking forward to finding out what happens when the story wraps up in the next final book.

Terrific addition to the series
This is a review for the audiobook The Elemental Coven (Witch’s Ambitions Trilogy #2), Written by Kayla Krantz and Narrated by Lynn Norris.
Author Kayla Krantz weaves another wonderful tale into her Witch’s Ambitions Trilogy with the second book in the series.
The story takes off where the previous story left off- the Land of Five has been shattered with war and Lillith has been captured. In a true fantasy fashion, nothing may be as it seems. Or maybe it is? New characters introduced, old characters returning…. (some a bit more literally than others) AKA the re-animates. Lillith faces more struggles and uncertainty but gains more knowledge and abilities. These are instrumental in turning Lillith into who she is becoming.
I loved the plot twists and turns all the way until the end of this novel, guaranteeing I will be picking up the last of the series to find out how everything turned out.
Lynn Norris turned in another excellent performance while narrating this novel. Her character work is top-notch and she presents the material in a way that keeps me entertained throughout the entire book. Kayla Krantz and Lynn Norris hit it out of the park with another great addition to this series.

Witch Coven Wars
Listened to audio narrated by Lynn Norris.
Lilith has been taken by the Elementals where she get's surprise after surprise, everything she thought she knew was a lie. She must learn how fit in with her new coven, as well as use her new found powers because the war is only ramping up.
I enjoyed this second book more than the first but I still struggled with Lilith's immaturity and temper tantrums and very self-absorbed behavior. I realize this is a YA but I had hoped Lilith would have shown more growth in this second installment, maybe it will happen in the next book.
As with all good trilogies there is an ending but there are also a lot of dangling threads making you want to know what's going to happen next, so you may want to have the third book, 'The Sage' handy.

Amazing!! Action-packed!!🎆🎇
This is by far one of my favorite series. This second book in the series did not disappoint. Lilith’s story is heartbreaking. She has had to endure so much. So many secrets have been hidden from her. She discovers she had a sister. Her parents are not who she thought they were. She is still struggling with who she can trust. Her heart still brings her thoughts to Clio.
This series is fantastic!

A spellbinding story.
Once again the now-familiar voice actress, Lynn Norris, didn't disappoint with her telling of the story. The second book of the trilogy was a well-written tale of the land of five covens and the lives of the familiar characters that made a debut in the first book. I couldn't wait to immerse myself in the daily drama of it and, once finished, I immediately began book 3.

The Second of the trilogy, every bit as good as the first as Lilith continues her struggle with all the things happening to her, war, loss, her new magical skills, I was completely immersed in this book and now cannot wait to get into the last book and find out how it will all end!!! The narration was , as with previous book, skilfully covered, nailing all the characters!!!

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook!
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Although I have to admit, I didn’t read book 1 in the series - and didn’t realise it was book 2 when I got it - but as I began listening I found that I was dropped smack dab into the middle of a war between two factions.
Still, it was easy enough to catch up to what was happening (the characters explained a lot of what they’d gone through in the previous book, clarifying their connections to one another within the first three or so chapters).
Well written and well read, I give The Elemental Coven a solid 4 stars.
