always love a middle falls time travel story

I've listened to each audio book of this series. this did not disappoint. the only thing that grated on my nerves was the narrators cartoony wimpy voice. it seemed intentional at the beginning when she was wimpy but as her character evolved her voice could have, too.

loved it

I didn't want to stop to sleep or nothing. It was as great as all the other middle falls books. I never want any of them to end but always excited to see where the author takes the characters.

Weakest in the MF series

As a fan of the Middle Falls series, I found this latest book to be the weakest story. Effie had really no serious external adversities and had personal challenges someone only has if privileged. Effie is the poster child for First World problems. Even the family member issue was wrapped up with a single conversation that didn’t hold true to the long established character conflict..

With many of the previous books in the series, I felt a bit sad at the end as I knew I could not experience that first-time hearing of the story again. With this book I am just glad I finished.

Halfway through I had to put this down for awhile as I was, frankly, bored. I then powered through the rest to finish it up. 3 stars is generous but I moved from 2 to 3 due to its place in the larger MF universe. It did pull in previous side characters.

All of this series’ voice performances have been outstanding. Indeed, switching voice actors with each book yet maintaining this quality is a hallmark of the series. While I have not recognized any of the voice actors’ names, they have all been extremely talented and well matched to their story, completely embodying the spirit of the characters. Holly Adams here, continues this amazing tradition.

Author

I love this series so much! While I was waiting for Shawn to write another book for this series I started listening to his Alex Hawk series and found that I love it as well. Shawn you are the very best!

Like being stuck in a seven hour chick flick.

I really enjoyed the middle falls series.
Except for this one. I listened long enough , then rushed over and stopped it.
The narration is squeaky and not that great.
I regret burning a credit on this.

On of his best

Shawn has outdone himself with this one. It is so very entertaining and the characters resonate so much with people in my own life. This book was entertaining and informative. I believe you will like this book as well

Not one of his best books

I’ve read most of the Middle falls books. A couple I gave up on. This story never really gets that entertaining. I saw it through to the end but parts of it got on my nerves. The constant need to go to Arty’s for example. It became very repetitive.
Hopefully I’m not on my own thinking this was a tad safe.

Loved the cameos

I really enjoyed the other Middle Falls characters popping up in this book. The author also having a cameo was very fun too.

Another great edition to the series

I was so happy when I could pre order this book and over a two day period i walked down the streets of middle falls and I know them so well
There are serious addiction issues covered in this book and Shawn handles them with care
It was amazing to meet up with characters from the previous books and even Shawn himself
I can't wait to visit middle falls again in the next book in the series

Trigger Warning: ED

This is a great book, but do be aware that there is a lot of ED discussion which may be triggering for some readers.

Loved this one!

Like a familiar hug. Was great to hear so many previous friends in this one book. It’s like returning “home” after being away. I really enjoyed the narration also

Another great instalment in a fantastic series

Trigger Warning: Eating Disorder

Another great instalment by Shawn Inmon, loved this one, just like every other book in this series. Sort of sad I have to wait til November til the next book, but then not so sad because he's written a stack of other books as well so I've got plenty of others to go onto, should I wish to continue monopolising my entire year with Shawn Inmon books.

This one was sad, infuriating, upsetting at times but, to call back to that John Lennon quote that has recurred throughout this series: "Everything will be okay in the end. If its not okay, its not the end". This book is no exception, finishing up all lifes trials and tribulations with some sweet sweet, cosy closure.

I think thats my favourite part of the series and why I keep coming back - it always ends well. Theres no hard hitting twist at the end that makes you want to claw your eyes out and dwell for weeks after. Some people may not enjoy a happy ending and want something a bit more edgy, but I have had enough rough edges in my life, I'm more than ready for this series and the niceness of it all. The endings of these books feel like finishing off a rich indulgent chocolate dessert with a lovely warm cup of tea.
