Story
The Genevians are at war with Nietzschea...and they’re losing. In a last-ditch hope, the Genevian mech program was founded. Its goal to augment humans into cyborg fighting machines; mechanized warriors sent to hold the front lines against an enemy that was storming a hundred worlds. Yet few wished to undergo the brutal process, and so criminals were used, their minds enslaved by control chips and obedience enforced through discipline.

Feminazi SYFY psycho fantasy
Initially An interesting plot with genetically altered orphaned sisters trying to figure out their lives. Devolved into a psycho feminist dominant tale. All male characters are subservient metro sexual males or ego-maniacal bastards that are wiped away by emerging super power. “We have more men to kill” by Fem sexist characters”. Just try and have a male protagonist make a statement like “we have more women to torture and kill”.
Found I had to constantly backtrack the narration to follow the story.

The shallowness of the author is hard to ignore
I tried very hard to like this book, to listen to it, but it really grates after a while, a so-called science fiction book that is placed 1000 years into the future talking about things as if they are new, that would be 1000 years old. Plus the unnecessary language and perversion is a distraction. Really sad. Definitely do not recommend this book or series.

Ok story, But he kept losing interest
It was an OK story. And at times it got very interesting but it other times it got really boring and other times it was really confusing. And then they threw the F word in it so many times that it was annoying. A few times I thought about stop listening but I force myself to keep going even though I even took a three week break from listening. But all in all it was just an OK book and when it ended I was surprised that it was over becauseI didn’t really even hear the big fight seeing as it was only like eight paragraphs long. Very disappointing.

This book is exciting. It leaves you wondering what next will the people get themselves into our out of. I have one thing that I do not like and that was the use of the F word to much and the writer didn’t seem to have any other explanations.

I loved being dumped right into the action!
Wowie! This book drops the reader right into the action! But, ummmm... that beginning! 😟 The first couple of scenes read like a horror story! Wait, what?!?? I thought I grabbed a Space Opera 🤔... yeah... at least "Space Opera" is even part of the title! Although I wouldn't normally pick-up a horror novel, I was already immersed in the story, and I really wanted to find out what happens next, and hopefully, the tale will have a great payoff!
I would hafta say that the book is probably a bit of both Space Opera and horror, and I for one (oddly, given my aversion to horror), really enjoyed the ride!
I gotta say the ending was perhaps a bit abrupt, even cliffhangery... and where normally I might have been put out by this (especially if I actually had to wait for K Gorman to write and release book 2), that wasn't the case here, as I'd had the foresight to get the boxed set up front! So instead of being upset, I'm happily looking forward to diving right back into the foray!
What about the narrator, Andrea Emmes?.. well, "WOW" kinda' covers it! She gave a simply perfect voice performance!
If you can handle a somewhat graphic Space Opera, trust me... this is the one to get your hands on!!!
PS. Many of my reviews for this boxed set can be found under the individual titles... on both Goodreads and Amazon.

if I had just bought the individual books I would have dropped it after book 1 it took till book 3 with the sisters intro to finally start moving at all.
The Mc is just a whiny ass little ... untill book 6 where well they turned the dile too far the other way. honestly the only characters that were interesting was the sister and friend everyone else just felt stilted and flat altho that somewhat changer in books 5 and 6 but not much.

Anticlimactic
65 hours seems like a bargain. The storyline certainly has potential, however I found it repetitive with constant recaps.. I did wonder if these recaps were for the authors benefit as they were not all at the beginning of a new book.. The line "and it all went dark" will haunt me forever.. It must be said at least 50 times. I do think this could have been around 20 hours less.
I was hoping these constant recaps and 60 plus hours was leading up to an explosive ending, but with less than an hour or so left it fizzled out.
I was Rather disappointed

even as a collection this is not worth a credit
voice recording is very poorly done, lots of midrange which in addition to the voice can be very difficult to listen to. voice acting is not great with little to distinguish between characters. don't waste a credit and avoid, not worth it even as a collection

If you like Firefly, you will love this!
This was a really great story, I felt that the narration was well done with consistent voices for the characters, so you knew who was who straight away. The story was well done with the characters fleshed out and like in the tag line, if you were a fan of Firefly this is really up your street!
