Suspenseful and captivating with a small 'but'...

I couldn't stop listening to this series, it was suspesful and engaging. Narrated very well also. However, I got super frustrated with the main character just being stupid, it almost made me stop listening. Thankfully the story was so engaging I kept going and I'm very happy I did. it was well worth the credit.

Character needs to learn and grow as series...

The thing about a series is that the main character has to learn and grow as it progresses. It's so frustrating to hear the main character make the same mistakes over and over again and really makes the entire book hard to read or in this case, listen to.

Ok!

I thought this was good. But it became apparent that I am not a fan of the main character and her tendency to not think before she acted. With all that being said, it is a great installment.

Are you serious?

I seriously can’t believe there could possibly be people in the world this clueless. Thank God it’s a story because there were times in all 3 books that I wanted to literally shake the main character! Ughhhhhh. On the other hand, excellent story telling👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I was all into the characters and even though disappointed in Becca, the main character, until the end. Great series.

I have so much to say about this

I gave this 5 stars because it deserves it I'll just say that. The story is excellent the character development is excellent. This story is very well written and kept me guessing. I have to say I did see the end coming in this book and knew who but I'd have never guessed the circumstances and the why and that to me makes a great novel. That being said I had a very hard time connecting with or liking the main character most of the time I just wanted to grab her by the shoulders and shake her for being so dumb and for being so oblivious. Even the crazy homeless woman looked at her like she was "slow" which made me laugh. Just the lack of honesty with the people who love and care about her the lack of being forthcoming with things that are going on for very stupid reasons and constantly putting herself, uneccisarily in harm's way drove me crazy. That she the fact that she was so negative and dry sarcasm about everything and the fact that she didn't eat or couldn't eat or wish she hadn't eaten so many times throughout the book I know it was to convey that her nerves were on edge and that her life was falling apart but maybe find a different way to convey that sometimes? Also saying why she was wearing green to bring out her hair and eyes after you tell us why that's her favorite color to wear all you really have to say after is that she was wearing green because it's her favorite. Maybe the author wrote her to be oblivious and sarcastic and pessimistic on purpose for a reason, maybe the reason is to infuriate those of us who just can't believe how she is acting or maybe the purpose was to invoke a feeling of needing to take care of her in the reader but seriously she just kept upsetting me. I did love this series though and I definitely recommend and sorry for the bit of criticism I usually don't write reviews at all but I felt as if I needed to this time. just know it was written with full respect to the author because like I said for all I know this character was written this way for a reason I don't see.

To many questions unanswered

I could only give this book three stars because it just left way to many questions unanswered and the next book in the series doesn’t appear to follow in line with answering any of those. Just left very unsatisfied with how this ended. Also, the main character grated on my nerves with her blatant stupidity. The author could’ve made this book much better if she had left out a bunch of useless information and put in what the reader needed to know.

Not great

I really enjoyed the first two books. This was very disappointing. The storyline seem telegraphed and in the end just very scattered and chaotic.

ok

I love the series. Unfortunately, this book was very predictable. Hopefully, the last two books will compare to the first!

Just ok

This one was just ok. The narration was great, but the main character's constant second guessing of herself and making the same mistakes over and over was quite annoying.

Such strong hope..

I fell in love with the first few books! But do we have to establish in every chapter that she wears green to bring out the color in her eyes and hair? Does she have to almost throw up atleast once in each chapter? do they have to go to the bar in the beginning of every book and have the exact same thing happen IN EVERY SINGLE BOOK. I don’t know how all of the characters aren’t over weight sense all the do is drink tea coffee and wine, i don’t know why the step daughter hasn’t received a truancy letter sense she was never in school. The main character ends up coming across lazy in all three books because she refuses to get a job and complains about money through every book, i understand how she “lost her memory” but why in gods name can she not remember anything now?! If Daniel asks a question she forgets all of the important details. Honestly, by the time i made it to the climax of this book i was just kind of hoping the bad guy killed her. That’s how infuriating Becca’s character had become. I know there’s two more books, but i highly doubt I’ll wasting my time reading them…

enticing but disappointing

This series had potential but fell short. l liked the characters and their relationships but kept waiting for more. A wasted credit unfortunately.
