Publisher's Summary

Being the False Hero isn't easy. Constantly hounded by soldiers and fanatics, never sure when the next casual encounter will lead to another life-and-death battle. When the ones seeking your life are too weak to even pose a threat, killing them will only turn you into exactly what they claimed you to be all along. Lutz can only flee, keeping ahead of his pursuers, his eyes locked on his final destination.

The journey to the elven lands was long and difficult, but Lutz and his companions have finally reached it. But will they accept the False Hero into their lands? With the human kingdoms who seek his life at his back, Lutz doesn't have the luxury of many other options.

Can't stop to he smile!

The way the characters are written and the interactions are a little cheesey at times. That being said often I find myself smiling at how the interactions turn out. it's a great series and it expertly performed!

One of my all-time favorite series

Here I am at the end of volume 5 and I always have a craving for more. Fortunately, the author does have a Patreon where he uploads chapters of the next volume ahead of the release so that if you just cannot wait you can go there. This time around on the eBook the author added a link to a web page with the first 6 chapters of volume six for you to read without having to sign up for the Patreon. The majority of volume 5 takes place in the elven lands for our hero and company. Things ramp up to one hell of a cliffhanger which is no doubt part of the reason why the author added the link. I really don't want to give any more details than that because the story is just so good in my opinion that I don't want to risk spoiling anything. I look forward to the next release date especially for the audio. When time permits, I'm probably going to start back at book 1 and binge my way through the series. Lastly, I'll just say well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us the readers. I'm a huge fan of the amount and quality of the artwork that's added to the eBooks. It's one of the reasons why I get both the eBook and the audiobook.

Update: Yay the audio is out!!! I only had to wait 8 days. Another fantastic performance by Mason Born. I'll admit it that once I got to the end of the afore mentioned 6 chapters I went and picked up Patreon. Currently there are 36 chapters available though I'm only on chapter 34. Still it's something that I would recommend for anybody who like me finds themselves lacking some patience. The caveat is that things can change between what's posted on Patreon and what makes it into the final cut. Still it's something that I recommend any fans of the series check out.

I absolutely Love this series.

I absolutely love this series mainly because of the inner monologues but, the 5th captured my heart strictly because of the Dryad Games. Adding a extra chapter from their perspective was an absolutely amazing call.

They just keep getting better

This has been one of my favorite fantasy series. The characters are well developed and it's a joy to see their mysteries slowly revealed all while more mysteries come to light.

The cliff hanger ending has me anxiously awaiting the next book. Please don't keep us waiting.

I've really enjoyed the series so far. I love the banter between the characters, it reminds me of some of my favorite anime. hell if the author lived in Japan he'd probably already have a Manga and a anime in the works. narrator gets better with every installment. good book
