Publisher's Summary

The instant New York Times and USA TODAY bestseller!

Hot on the heels of the New York Times bestsellers The Twin and The Lake, the undisputed queen of YA thrillers is back.

Don't be afraid. Be terrified.

It’s just a stupid meme that’s going around their small fishing town in the dead of winter—people reposting and sharing their biggest fear. But when her classmates start turning up dead—dying in the way that they said scared them the most—Izzy knows it’s no joke.

With each death hitting closer to home, Izzy sets out to try to stop the killer. Could her older sister’s friend Tristan have something to do with the deaths? He’s given her some strange vibes. Or what about his brooding cousin, Axel? But he’s in her classes at school. He’s not a murderer . . . is he? Izzie’s soon on a path that will lead her right to the killer . . . and her own worst nightmare.

Worst ending ever.

Kept my interest for about it halfway through, but the killer ended up being fairly obvious. Seems the twist at the end was thrown in there for shock value that could also be seen a mile away. If you’re looking for something not cliche and if you want a HEA ending this is not it.

The End???

This book was highly disappointing at the end. I was already a little stand offish, just because it was written more like a child’s story rather than a YA novel in my opinion

Interesting story, kinda predictable

The story was great and the premise caught my attention I knew I wanted to read the book instantly. I loved the way the narrators presented the story and would listen to more works by them. But I will say I'm not sure if it's because I watch / reach slasher mystery / thriller genre too much but I knew who the killer was by chapter 10 and there are 50 chapters in this book. So I was cringing by the end wanting to slap the main character and her choices because I knew what was coming.
But it's a great book and great listen

Ending was a bummer

The storyline was okay. However, the ending was extremely disappointing and left me with the “I can't believe I wasted my time and money on that “ feeling.

Definitely a YA book.

Had a lot of potential to be good but fell flat for me in the end. Interesting plot, but the story line kind of dragged on with unnecessary additives. Characters were very irritating and whiny. Narration was a little on the annoying side. Not a terrible book.

Ridiculous

This made very little sense. It was all over the place, instantly suspecting someone, along with everyone else with no proof.

Still The YA Thriller Queen!

Honestly I never had any doubts. The book was as good as all the rest, but what has gotten a little annoying is all of the cliff hangers without any continuation. Don't get me wrong I love a good cliff hanger as much as the next person, but if there is a cliff hanger I feel like there should be a continuation in another book. However, knowing Natasha Preston's style of writting there will not be a continuation for this book. Even so, I still highly recommend this book. It will keep you reading into the night and keep you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out who the murderer is.
