Fun book for kids
My wife and I bought this book for ourselves knowing that it is a kids book. However, we like the Haunted Mansion ride and the lore around it, so this was perfect for a long road trip. I'd guess the target age for this is about 10-13, but we still enjoyed it
This is actually 2 books. The first centers around 4 kids who liked telling scary stories, but don't enjoy those stories quite as much when they are the protagonists. This one rings of Shyamalan. The second is about a continuation of the first book in a way, but I don't want to reveal too much and ruin the plot.
The best part of the whole thing was the excellent performance. The voice acting was fantastic! The references to voice track from the ride were a lot of fun too.
Again, this is a fun read as long as you know what you're getting into. Don't expect an adult plotline or true scares. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll be glad you did.

Spooktacular!
If you are a Haunted Mansion fan, you'll love these books! They are overly dramatic much like the ride but that's why we all love it. The narration was the absolute best part. It truly feels like the ghost host is talking to you through the entire story. A perfect read for Halloween time or if you're planning a trip to any of the Disney parks.

a scary good listen
as an adult I loved this read from the Haunted Mansion library. it gave me some chills reminiscent of Goosebumps, are you afraid of the dark, and scary stories to tell in the dark, all while still being very much it's own new addition to the list of children's horror media
