Publisher's Summary

Secrets and lies. I’ve lived the entirety of my life wrapped up in subterfuge for one purpose: revenge.

Through the years, I lived more as an enigma than a man. For so long, I denied I had a beating heart of my own. Until her.

Until she unearthed the starving vessel inside, forced me to acknowledge it, forced me to understand that I’m capable of bleeding the same as any other. For that, we paid. We're still paying. Yet she demands it still; the useless heart of the ruthless thief and shameless villain she fell for. My fear is that I’m no longer that man.

With the lies I’ve told, the life I’ve led, my mistakes are beginning to catch up with me, day by day, one by one. This is my last chance, and I have no intention of losing her again, but as the deception of my past starts to unravel and close in, shedding my humanity may be the only thing that can save us both.

Maybe it’s already too late.

The Ravenhood trilogy is a gritty modern-day take on Robin Hood filled with suspense, thrills, and all the feels.

Amazing ending to an amazing series

I've already reviewed all 3 of these books through Amazon - and loved every single minute of them! But I just want to add that the narration team on these were perfect! I loved how they had Maxine and Joe switch off throughout the book between the male and female voices. I've never heard a book narration like that before. Usually when it's the female's chapter, she reads the whole thing, including doing the male characters as well, and vice versa. But this type of pairing made their great voices come together in a more immersive way that I would have ever expected!!!

Best book in series

The middle book is terrible. I like the last one the most. Don’t give up if you also struggled with the middle book.

BREATHTAKING ❤️ AWARD-WINNING ❤️ STORYTELLING

What can you really say about a Trilogy that’s had you in its clutches from Book 1 and has blown you away with its utter brilliance.. with its tightly held secrets.. with its shocking revelations.. with its tragic and complex twists.. with its heavy heavy heartache.. and with its sexy, beautiful, bitter-sweet love stories.. other than EPIC. And wow Joe, your skilful narration and very sexy French accent was simply the best ever 💕 and, together with Maxine, your duet-style narration made this a solid gold ten star Trilogy.

Worth a credit? Absolutely yes.. Kate Stewart’s layered web has been weaved with such precision and detail you can’t help but fall in love with her complex characters and completely lose yourself in her emotional chapters. It’s a unique and deeply moving Trilogy that’s got sizzling chemistry, hard-hitting heartache, turmoil, drama, angst, shocks, suspense.. and an epic love story that captures your heart and soul. And now I feel a book hangover coming on.

Tobias and Cecelia

Quote: "I kiss her again, this time more aggressively, and she latches on, kissing me back because we both know time isn’t on our side, never has been. These seconds are precious, and she lets me draw on her as much as I want because she feels it too. We’re forever on borrowed time, our opponents faceless, a whole new board, but this time we’re making all our moves together."

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Audible purchase. Dual POV. Duet narration. Book 3 in The Ravenhood trilogy. Listed as 14 hours 39 minutes; I listened at speed 1.50 for 9 hours 46 minutes. Lots of time hops and they became obnoxious. OUTLANDISH RESOLUTION of the major conflict and the final portion of the epilogue leads to nowhere. Errors: ebook starts with Tobias as age 44/audiobook reads his age as 43 and then later the ebook marks him at 38/audiobook says 37. Both narrators read French dialogue and adopted both French and average American accents. They both read well and I really enjoyed Joe Arden's French accent. If the author's editor cut out all of the French dialogue and stuck with the translations the book would have been at least 25% shorter and 45% better. Trigger warnings: alcohol & drug use; attempted theft; multiple murders; and so many secrets.

I'm still uncertain what the Ravens actually do but Tobias and Cecelia are married and living in The Finnish Line so there's that. Sadly this trilogy did not live up to the hype and I struggled to finish it. JP

I’m so sad

I didn’t want these books to end… but at the same time I needed them to. These 3 books consumed me from the minute I started on the first one… it affected my mood and anxiety and heart. I don’t think my feeling have ever been so affected by a book. Kate Stewart is a phenomenal writer and Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden embodied these characters… I literally can’t say enough about these books!

This series had me all over the place!

Love, hate, and yes tears.

This series captivated me. While the second book had me frustrated for the first half, the rest of it and this book. Sealed me in. Beautiful ending, made me cry. Loved this story.

Amazing performance and story

If they gave out grammy's for narrators for audiobooks this series would deserve the best perfomance of the year!
both did great but this REALLY showed Joe Arden's range of characters n the depth of feeling that SHOULD go into each audiobook.
As far as kate Stewart goes this was an amazing story that sometimes lagged with to much back n forth. She saved A lot of the past refection for the last book which made it become a little slower. If it were spread out I think you would of had more of a balance of action , very hot love scenes and angst for each book.
considering I've only written 2 other reviews in my life I believe that alone expresses how worth it I feel it is to listen to this series

Captivating Trilogy

I was captured by this trilogy from the get go. It is very steamy and kept me guessing. The only issue is in the audio third book there are 3 mistakes. Two time there is coughing and one editing mishap.

The perfect ending

I know a lot of people stopped after Exodus, but The Finish Line is exactly what I needed to bring the broken pieces of my heart back together after Flock and Exodus. I was recommended to listen to the audio for TFL and it did not disappoint! Having the narration be done based on character lines and not distinct chapter-by-chapter POVs was new to me (after listening to hundreds of audiobooks) but it worked perfectly for this story.

Far too long!

I fail to see why this trilogy receives such rave reviews!

This book was far too long, introspective and the timeline got confusing going backwards and forwards. It just got tiresome and so boring!

If the intention was to relay Tobias' story,  then let it start at the beginning and follow the natural progression.

Tobias is one of the most sexy anti-heroes and he's turned into a "house husband". That's really going to happen?!

I wanted to ditch it half way through! Aaargh! It was just so irritating and unrealistic!

Then when the action eventually gets going at about 80% Cecelia suddenly  turns from a whingey brat into a powerhouse bada**. Seriously?!

It would have been so much better if the focus of the story could have been on what Exodus and the ravens were doing for the country and the action they took in so doing, rather than all this introspective claptrap.

Going back to Triple Falls was also unrealistic. She left under a cloud where no one spoke to her and when she returns, everyone is her best buddy. Yeah right?!

As for epilogues, there was no need. Less is more and this author should have known where to stop! This could easily have been a duet rather than a trilogy!

The only good part was the narration, which was perfect!

Don't know where to begin.

I have honestly not lost myself in a book like I have with this trilogy! These books will stay with me for a very long time. I was not ready for the emotional ride I was taken on. I feel so blue that it's over. Not ready to say goodbye. These books are worth everything you feel while reading them. Thank you Kate Stewart.

Joe & Maxine put their all into narratorating these books. You feel every emotion in their voices. One of the reasons they are my favourite duos.

Least favourite of the three

Performances are good (Coughing in the background must have been overlooked).
The story bounces back and forth between present day and past. It got annoying after a while.
The plot is not that strong. Many times I found myself eye rolling.. The characters are completely co-dependant together. This, “my other half” , “who will be my all and everything” attitude is unhealthy.
However if you want a book with lots of sex and the theme of a modern “romance novel”, then you will get it here.

- glad the characters were finally “put to bed” ..
