Story
Steve had experience when it came to waking up with hangovers. Being attacked by kobolds? Not so much. After rousing in the middle of a monster-filled forest, he was sure his life was over. That was until he was saved by a fire-wielding angel who was anything but human. Now Steve finds himself a temporary guest on a small run-down farm filled with monster girls who need his help. None more so than the canine beauty responsible for saving his skin.

Story
I was only 27 and I already felt like my life was over. Then I fell asleep in statistics class and all hell broke loose. I've been summoned to a world completely unlike my own. Elves and monster girls roam the streets. A powerful race of demon called the Vrag have invaded, and somehow I've been put in charge of protecting two princesses from all manner of mayhem. The old Cal couldn't handle this. But when I stumbled through the dream portal, I became something more. I'm no longer Cal Newhart, divorced college student and ex-marine. Now I'm the Paladin, a supernatural knight of legend.

Story
John Doc Henry had been on the shortest, crappiest end of the stick since the first day of his life; no parents, bad foster parents, and abysmal luck at every turn. The day his life changed started out exactly like he had come to expect. His car died on a rarely traveled road, and he broke his toe shortly after dodging the one other car on the road. When it stopped and backed up to him, the license plate read “LADYLUK”, adding insult to injury.

Story
I only got into trucking because my granddad was a trucker, and he was the best damn person I ever met. I'd always thought I was your average dude with an 18-wheeler and an addiction to energy drinks, but it turns out there might be something more brewing in my blood. Now instead of some desert highway, I'm stuck in a whole new realm, and it's full of worm cults, actual lot lizards, one seriously smoking catgirl mechanic, and enough sand and bloodthirsty creatures to make me think I took a wrong turn somewhere. But I might be able to add a whole new career path to my resume.

The elf and I made a quick escape and ended up in a strange fantasy world. The apocalypse began on Bring Your Dog to Work Day. One moment, everything was normal. Then the World Core woke up, and slaughtered almost everything alive so it could harvest their Chi. After that, it rebuilt everything and put the survivors in a game-like environment, pitting them against monsters and each other. The rules are different now. Chi power is as important as being able to fight. I'm one of the survivors. With my knowledge of martial arts and my special Chi skill, I'm turning myself into a force to be reckoned with.

Death isn’t always the end. I was a soldier, fighting for the lives of the whole world, when I went and got myself obliterated by this magic alien monster. I figured that was it. Game over, done. But, then I woke up in a different body, in a strange world full of dust and ruins, with awesome martial arts skills I’d never had before. Not to mention a chi gift thing that seemed to work a lot like magic. And, there were these words seared into my brain like a motivational quote: You can save them. You can save all of them.

Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. what on earth did I just listen to?
so this was bad. really bad.
first, I have a particular pet peeve about stupid characters. if I think of something, I expect the characters to, because I am not super smart, but have a moderate ammount of common sense. so I find it absolutely infuriating when the MC is told that he will get some sort of superpower from sleeping with the alien chick, doesn't ask any questions about how it will manifest, what to expect, etc. then is surprised when he accidentally finds out he has superpowers. or when he knows that he can throw a rock as fast as a bullet, then goes and tries to tackle deer he is hunting.
he also has an extremely annoying white knight complex, thinking that he is better than every other guy because he goes down on women. And every time he talks about women's liberation, saying that the princess isn't property and she can do whatever she wants, I get the creepy feeling that he only is saying that stuff because he wants her to be his property instead of someone else's. nothing ever really happened to contradict that either other than what he said which could be the narrator's fault as everything MC says sounds extremely slimy and whiny.
apart from MC, another problem is that in this super advanced alien culture, nobody has any common sense. nothing electronic works on the planet they are stranded on, but it takes way too long for them to figure out why. none of the fancy space guns work, ok that's weird, but whatever. oh, the magnetic compass is spinning around wildly. hmmm. that's suspicious. oh, the fancy space technology arm geolocator thingy isn't working either. wow. what a coincidence. I guess we will keep going along and assuming the next piece of electrical technology will work just fine. especially guns. despite none of the space guns working on this planet since the moment we got stranded there, we will keep assuming that they will fire the next time we pull the trigger. every. god. damned. time. oh and let's not forget the body guard who is tasked to protect the princess whatever think it's a good idea to drag the naked girl around in a blizzard without knowing what direction her ship is in. yeah, that's totally something your average person would think is a good idea.
lastly, the description of the women was one of the creepiest things I have ever read. just one example of the weird, uncomfortable way the book is written, the first time the MC looks at one girl, he describes her antenna (as seen on the cover art) as "teasable nubs". on what same planet does someone who is describing an alien species they are seeing for the first time describe their antenna so weirdly sexually?
so if pretentious, white knight MCs and borderline mentally disabled characters are your thing, then fine. get this book I guess. just don't talk to me.

This one is pretty uneven some parts and the overall plot are good. However there are a ton of hard eye roll moments. The MC fluxes between normal guy/cheesy white knight/TSTL romance MC. The side chars are a bit over the top as well. Pretty much all of the MCs internal dialog is cringe or obviously "stupid" for the sake of drama.

Not as good as Harem Farm
I enjoyed the other series by this author, Harem Farm, so I bought this one to see how it compared. I admit it definitely wasn't as good as I hoped, but it was OK. The narrator speaks too slowly, I had to have the video playing at 1.15x speed just to make it sound normal. Overall it was below average, but I can't say I hated it.

It's ok
It's a good thing I wasn't dead set on continuing this series, because there don't seem to be any more works in the series - at least not on Amazon.
The PC is an ordinary nerdy guy who ends up abducted from earth and marooned on an alien world where technology doesn't work and he, a hot princess and a tsundere bodyguard must work together for survival. The world is made of different areas with sharp delineations between vastly different climates. There are a number of mysteries just touched on in this book, that presumably would have been expanded on in future works in the series.
It's not bad. If future books in the series dropped in my lap, I wouldn't object to listening to them - but I wasn't going to go out of my way to seek them out.
