Publisher's Summary

Not all ghosts want to be saved.

Sue discovers a dilapidated two-story farmhouse on prime property near East Glacier Park Village in Montana on the Blackfeet Nation Reservation. The house and surrounding forest lands have been on the market for years because they're allegedly haunted. The tribal leaders of Blackfeet Nation are anxious to sell, and Sue sees a great opportunity for a vacation home near Glacier National Park. But once she convinces Ellen and Tanya to go in with her on the project, the friends find themselves trapped on the 100 acres of forest land with a malevolent spirit that doesn't want to be saved.

The search for Rabbit...

In yet another wonderfully enjoyable blend of fact and fiction, Eva Pohler offers her readers one more chance to tag along with Ellen, Sue, and Tanya on an intriguing paranormal adventure. This time they are off to Montana to look at a haunted property as a potential vacation home. Each of our ladies is coping with some type of recent loss but they soon set aside their personal issues when confronted with the need to locate the bodies of Rabbit (an indigenous American who was taken from his parents and forced to attend a school which labored to strip him of his native culture) and a young nun who taught at that school. All the stories in this series offer fascinating glimpses into history and really portray the human side of events that are often “sanitized” by public school systems. Compelling historical events, captivating characters, a bit of adventure, a hint of clean romance, and fun forays into the paranormal have made this one of my favorite series. I chose to read along as I listened to the audiobook version of this tale. I must comment on how the narrator, Debbie Andreen, provides the perfect listening experience for her audience. As with the previous stories in this series, she deftly endows each character with a unique sound through changes in pitch, cadence or accent to help the listener keep everyone straight. Her delivery of the narrative is spot on in terms of pace, emotion, and atmosphere. She is a delight to listen to and I appreciate her contribution to this wonderful book. I highly recommend this book and this entire series.

While I did purchase a copy of this book, the author did provide me with a copy of the audiobook but I am voluntarily offering my honest and unbiased review.
