Loved this book since I was a kid
When I was in the 5th grade, I was in a class where we would just sit around and read all day. Since I was so young I figured that I was being tortured and I didn’t put much thought into the positive prospects of this. However, when I was give the choice of reading a book about a ghost or a book about horses I knew I had to choose the ghost book. And that was the first time I ever read The Ghost’s Grave. This book is responsible for making me like reading. The author is so descriptive and immerses the reader in such a beautiful way. I love how the story is historical while also maintaining a fantasy like illustration. Definitely a must read. The narration was perfect by the way.

Fairly interesting even for an adult
My 12-year-old son got this book from his local library for a school assignment. I bought the audiobook for him when he forgot to bring his textbook home. He's been reading the textbook, so I decided to listen to the audiobook. Overall the story is interesting and younger readers or listeners may enjoy it more then I did. I didn't joy the book but it's nothing that I will listen to twice. I would prefer a deeper plot and a more in-depth story line, but I'm an adult and four children ages 8 to 12 or 13 it would be fine.

Diverent Elements Woven Together Masterfully.
It was great to listen to the thinking of the hero of this story who is a 13 year old boy. His words so remind me of my own son when he was in his teens. It was sweet to revisit this youthful thinking which was still malleable when confronted with experience. Love how Peg Kehret wove all the story elements together into a wonderfully satisfying story. Stories with satisfying conclusions are nice to have in ones repertoire of listening favorites.

Great middle grade ghost story
The Ghost's Grave
by Peg Kehret
Narrated by Charles Carroll
This is a charming, funny, and adventurous ghost story with a peg-leg ghost, an evil robber, and a crazy sweet aunt.
A 12 year old boy is sent to stay with a very elderly aunt he doesn't know in the very deep woods. He finds his aunt is a bit different but nice. The tree house also is occupied with a person who has died and can't cross over yet.
A very fun story!
