Story
The whole of Western natural philosophy is undergoing a sea change, forced upon us by the experimental findings of quantum theory. At the same time, these findings have increased our doubt and uncertainty about traditional physical explanations of the universe's genesis and structure. Biocentrism completes this shift in worldview, turning the planet upside down again with the revolutionary view that life creates the universe instead of the other way around.

Challenging leading scientific theories that claim that our senses report back objective reality, cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman argues that while we should take our perceptions seriously, we should not take them literally. How can it be possible that the world we see is not objective reality? And how can our senses be useful if they are not communicating the truth? Hoffman grapples with these questions and more over the course of this eye-opening work.

Story
Nearly everyone is familiar with holograms - three-dimensional images projected into space with the aid of a laser. Two of the world's most eminent thinkers believe that the universe itself may be a giant hologram, quite literally a kind of image or construct created, at least in part, by the human mind. University of London physicist David Bohm, one of the world's most respected quantum physicists, and Stanford neurophysiologist Karl Pribram, an architect of our modern understanding of the brain, have developed a remarkable new way of looking at the universe.

Story
Mystics and sages have long maintained that there exists an interconnecting cosmic field at the roots of reality that conserves and conveys information, a field known as the Akashic record. Recent discoveries in vacuum physics show that this Akashic field is real and has its equivalent in science's zero-point field that underlies space itself. This field consists of a subtle sea of fluctuating energies from which all things arise: atoms and galaxies, stars and planets, living beings, and even consciousness.

Story
Sean Carroll, theoretical physicist and one of this world’s most celebrated writers on science, rewrites the history of 20th-century physics. Already hailed as a masterpiece, Something Deeply Hidden shows for the first time that facing up to the essential puzzle of quantum mechanics utterly transforms how we think about space and time. His reconciling of quantum mechanics with Einstein’s theory of relativity changes, well, everything. Most physicists haven’t even recognized the uncomfortable truth: Physics has been in crisis since 1927.

What does it mean to “be you” - that is, to have a specific, conscious experience of the world around you and yourself within it? There may be no more elusive or fascinating question. Historically, humanity has considered the nature of consciousness to be a primarily spiritual or philosophical inquiry, but scientific research is now mapping out compelling biological theories and explanations for consciousness and selfhood.

In The Daemon: A Guide to Your Extraordinary Secret Self, Anthony Peake proposes that people consist of not one but two separate consciousnesses - everyday consciousness and that of The Daemon, a higher being that seems to possess knowledge of future events. Drawing upon phenomena such as déjà vu and near-death experiences, he explores the ways that our Daemon breaks through into our consciousness and can subconsciously impact upon our decisions.

Publisher's Summary
What if life isn't just a part of the universe? What if it determines the very structure of the universe itself?
The theory that blew your mind in Biocentrism and Beyond Biocentrism is back, with brand-new research revealing the startling truth about our existence.
What is consciousness? Why are we here? Where did it all come from - the laws of nature, the stars, the universe? Humans have been asking these questions forever, but science hasn't succeeded in providing many answers - until now. In The Grand Biocentric Design, Robert Lanza, one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People", is joined by theoretical physicist Matej Pavšic and astronomer Bob Berman to shed light on the big picture that has long eluded philosophers and scientists alike.
This engaging, mind-stretching exposition of how the history of physics has led us to biocentrism - the idea that life creates reality - takes listeners on a step-by-step adventure into the great science breakthroughs of the past centuries, from Newton to the weirdness of quantum theory, culminating in recent revelations that will challenge everything you think you know about our role in the universe.
This book offers the most complete explanation of the science behind biocentrism to date, delving into the origins of the memorable principles introduced in previous books in this series, as well as introducing new principles that complete the theory. The authors dive deep into topics including consciousness, time, and the evidence that our observations - or even knowledge in our minds - can affect how physical objects behave.
The Grand Biocentric Design is a one-of-a-kind, groundbreaking explanation of how the universe works and an exploration of the science behind the astounding fact that time, space, and reality itself all ultimately depend upon us.

The book offers new ideas through latest scientific research. If you are stuck in old ideas regardless of evidence, this is book is not for you. But if you are open and willing to accept new possibilities, this will be a wonderful read leaving you excited and curious.

Powerful, thought-provoking, and full of truth.
I really like this book a lot. It goes where many physicists don't want to go, and it brings to light many truths they don't want to confront with plenty of evidence to back up it's controversial theories. Very interesting information for further research. A full breakdown of a revolutionary new way of looking at reality. Sure to impress. I go through a lot of physics and theoretical physics books and so I basically already had the biocentric model worked out in my mind like many physicists do these days It's just where the evidence is leading... Highly recommended for everybody trying to understand the Universe through the lens of some of science's most counterintuitive discoveries. Great for the well versed in modern physics and those totally new to the subject alike. An instant classic

Provocative and Revelational
The necessity to include observational conscious awareness into the scientific method is convincingly argued throughout this book. Historically science has, and with good reason, hesitated to reform foundational critical thinking without due cause and evidentiary facts. The concepts of Biocentric theory outlined in this book convincingly postulate we need to take a much needed hard look at the reality we observe, and ultimatley create. The writing is clear and understandable to most well-educated readers. However, Biocentric theory should be distilled into more palatable passages for the average "joe" on the street to comprehend in order to make more people aware of truths they may already inherently know to be real.

Should be in the fiction section.
The author is not a physicist but comes across where he is an expert. Most of the book involves well known proven science. From the proven he goes into pseudo religion which is poorly explained and not convincing. He says it can be falsified to be an acceptable science theory but I am not convinced of any evidence. His theory is so mucked up he tries to brain wash you by repeating the same things over and over. He could have simplified the book to 5 pages of fiction. If people rate this book high they do not have a good background in physics and want to believe in his fantasy where you never die. Your quantum wave just shows up in another conscience being. The Q&A at the end is another confusing mess. You can see where most people don’t grasp his ideas. It might be ideas which are only relevant in his universe which his conscience has created.

Paradigm shifting is never easy to accept
How did we get here, what should we do now, and where are we going, are the 3 key questions all of us ask ourselves at some point. Quantum theory suggest that these questions are subjective, not objective as Einstein would have us believe. Einstein would have us believe that energy is the only thing that exists and everything can be reduced to energy.
Quantum theory would have us believe that the only thing that exists is consciousness free from the constraints of time Quantum theory would have us believed that the only thing that exist is consciousness free from the constraints of time and dimension. Existence is a muddled wave of energy that collapses once it is observed. Every Individual Individual consciousness creates a multiverse that is a subjective reality

Fascinating theory, don't know if it could be true as I haven't the level of physics required to critique it. Personally I kind of hope he's right and even if he isn't he makes an important point on the opening up of the debate of the true nature or reality to a wider audience.

Idealism in one of its many forms. Probably not as well articulated as Bernardo Kastrup's exposition.
