Publisher's Summary

From the #1 New York Times best-selling author comes a revised, repackaged novel sure to please her many fans. She writes "high speed comic mayhem" ( Detroit Free Press); she's "a blast of fresh air" ( Washington Post); "side-splitting funny" ( Publishers Weekly) and "a winner" ( Glamour). In other words, she's Janet Evanovich.

Berry Knudson had a talent for disaster, but when she climbed a tree to rescue a kitten, she wasn't prepared for the scrumptious hunk undressing in a nearby window, or her dive downward that smashed Jake Sawyer's pizza and won his heart! But was there room in her chaotic schedule for a risk-taking inventor with dreams? She took classes, delivered pizzas, and cared for three eccentric old ladies she rescued from the train station. But Jake thrived on a challenge, and he could be very inventive. Could he teach her there was time to make butterscotch pudding and let herself be loved?

AUG! Enough already

I am amazed that I had the patience to finish the book...maybe just not the opportunity to go grab a different one for my player.
The heroine is not likable and the hero simply not worth winning. There was a point where I just wanted it over with.

Save your money and time.

The plot is predictable, but it could be a fluff listen if the reader were not so TERRIBLE. I still have two thirds of the book left, but she is so bad I will move onto something else.

Always love Janet Evanovich

I have read all of Janet Evanovich's mystery type books and decided that this weekend I needed something super light and funny. What a great choice!

It was cute and not at all serious. Exactly what I needed! I can always count on the characters and story to give me a smile.

The Grand Finale

I truly loved this audiobook, it made me laugh so much. With the ladies living at the train station, and then, they were living at her house, and they burned the couch 🛋. It was a very humorous story. I hope one day that she marries Jake.

Narrator

I think the narration is too phony sounding! I almost can’t listen to the stories that C J Critt narrates!

TRULY TERRIBLE

...and that's probably an understatement. I thought I couldn't go wrong with Janet Evanovich for some light hearted amusement. I was wrong. There was nothing good about the story line or the writing. "Berry" was annoying and "Jake" was nauseating, a perfect example of the guy who doesn't understand that no means no.
The only fun characters (the old ladies) were completely under developed, almost as if they were a last minute idea.
Even the narration by CJ Critt (whom I usually like) was awful. Probably because she had such awful material to work with.

Love author… not the narrator!

I love Evanovich… big Plum fan. Thought I’d try something different. Story might be okay, but can’t get past the narrator. Sounds like someone overdosed her on uppers. Everything(!) is (!) super (!) exciting (!). Won’t be finishing this one in Audible….

Probably the worst love story I've ever heard!!

Very cheesy, highly unrealistic and totally unbelievable. Sorry Janet, I love your books but this is probably your worst!
