Story
The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants - rather than the BFG - she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

Publisher's Summary
Unless you are a slug, a sea anemone, or mildew, you probably prefer not to be damp. You might also prefer not to listen to this audiobook, in which the Baudelaire siblings descend into the depths of despair, underwater. The horrors they encounter are too numerous to list, and include mushrooms, a mechanical monster, a distressing message from a lost friend, and tap dancing.
As a dedicated author who has pledged to keep recording the depressing story of the Baudelaires, I must continue to delve deep into the cavernous depths of the orphans' lives. You, on the other hand, may delve into some happier audiobook in order to keep your ears and your spirits from being dampened.
With all due respect,
Lemony Snicket

Fantastic
I grew up reading these and they are amazing and mostly timeless. The same thing I think could be said about Tim Curry. As a big fan of his, his interpretation of child's voices is mostly just hilarious.
I also have to applaud them for using the original music by the author!

Brilliant material and an exceptional performance!
If I'm not mistaken actors/actresses can receive a Grammy award for audio books and I'm telling you TIM CURRY DESERVES ONE. Fabulous, insightful, a keen, razor sharp interpretation of a brilliantly written piece.
This story IS A GAME CHANGER. WHEN I saw MTV, ET, Star Wars, etc.
I had the presence of mind to realize I'd never seen ANYTHING like this before. This series is the same. Look out Harry, you've got competition.

Well-narrated
The narrator makes it easy to understand the story. The different voices suit the characters. Tim Curry is the best! The story itself was not award-winning, half of it was a bit boring. Though the end made me want to binge-hear (if that's a thing) the next book! This book does contain some details that would be useful to know for when...well, whenever the narrator wants to bring the subject up again and tie that information to an eye-opening twist. I wouldn't really recommend this book, but for those ASOUE fans, it's part of the series, and you should read it.
