3 hrs of my life I won’t get back….
Actually was a Patterson fan, of the winter and the man. Throw in John Lithgow and I was in. And then….oh no. It was like watching someone fall of a cliff in slow motion!
It was my disbelief in the original plot, my hope that things were going to turn around eventually, that kept me listening to till the mind numbing end. After which I felt like an idiot for spending the time.
Wow James….

I'm not a fan of audio dramas, but this was great!
When Audible sent me the recommendation, I decided to give it a try even though it only had one review at the time. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the acting was. The story was told very well with almost no narration. I finished it in two days because I just needed to know what was going to happen next. I'd definitely recommend listening if you're interested.

Painful
This could have been reduced to half of the listening time as a lot of repetitive dialogue which made it painful. I could/would have stopped listening half way through except for wanting to know the outcome which was very predictable.
Glad this was a free listen and didn't use a credit on it.

Irritating and repetitive
Was fooled into investing two hours listening before deciding that there was so much tedious repetition to carry on! I kept hoping that there would be some development in the plot, but in the end decided not to waste any more time on it. I found none of the characters were particularly likeable and some were just irritating (perhaps this was deliberate?)!
The narrators' performance was great, however!

Not worth the time it takes
I enjoyed the beginning of this but it got repetitive in the middle and silly at the end. I would have given up half way through but as it's a mystery I wanted to find out the whodunit - I found the solution fairly implausible / too contrived. The performances and production are good, the writing clunky at times and the plot daft. Might have worked as a quick 90 min drama?
