I wish Jordan B. Peterson could have narrated

For all the people who were wondering about the delays, as I understand it, it was originally planned to have the books narrated by Jordan B. Peterson. However, since the man had been fighting for his life for the major part of 2020, I guess they had to change the plan and had the book released with another narrator's performance.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still happy we could finally get this defining piece of literature in spoken form on Audible, Mr. Davidson does a great job, but I do regret that Dr. Peterson was ultimately unable to narrate.

Should Be Required Reading In Schools

The narrator to a few hours to get use to and really his reading was the only area of opportunity I could find. We've spent so much time and energy talking crap about the Nazis AND RIGHTLY SO but I am ashamed that our Leftist teachers, historians, media, and universities have not shown us how horrible communism is and was. Be very very careful because the stories in this series may be the future of America, if we are not careful. Just look at our Pravda style media today. Look at how they control the low information people. Look at how they can hide the crimes of the elite. If you are a parent, please listen to or read this book with your kids.

Jerks for all the delays

I will prob end up changing this review eventually...but for right now I’m so annoyed with how many months you kept delaying this release, I think it was over a year delayed? Every month I would save my audible credit for the release, always in the 3rd week of the month...then the date would come and all a sudden the release date would be another month further out. For a long time I thought it was some kind of pre order scam, or that I was legitimately crazy. I’m glad it’s finally here, but you should have made a post or something somewhere explaining what was happening. I looked and could not find anything.

A Lesson in Evil, Philosophy and Psychology

Hitler's evil came at the world in a blitzkrieg that the west could not contain, Stalin's evil was a way of life for mostly Eastern Europe alone, and so the west chose to contain it.

Enlightening.

Elegant description of a brutal period in Russia that destroyed and buried centuries of rich Russian culture. This certainly sheds light on current life and politic in modern Russia. It is also a stark warning for those that would bury Western Liberalism in favor of socialism and woke-ism.

Russian history.

Incredible what people can allow themselves to do with just a small amount of fear or fervor despite everything they've been taught to the contrary.

Stunning

One of the best books ever. Get the audible with Frederick Davidson as the reader.

There are so many parallels to today!

His writing is on Par with Victor Hugo!

A Must Read (or Listen)!

I’ve neglected my learning on Soviet history until delving into these volumes. The scope of this work is incredible. Despite how horrifying the subject matter is the writing is powerful and enthralling. The narrator is incredible and certainly brings the words to life. One of my favorite narrators on Audible! Recommend to anyone looking to learn more about this epoch.

The most important book of our time

Very much the most important book of our time. It’s so sad that the narration of it isn’t that great.
