Life is about to change forever....

Heather is finally back on Hope Street after running from the memories for so long. She hasn’t bumped into many neighbours yet, but with her upcoming wedding to plan there’s plenty to keep her busy!

Fran is still trying to get used to a life without her husband by her side. It’s hard enough raising two children on her own - she doesn’t have time to even think about dating....

Pamela is fed up with being taken for granted by her grown-up children and grumbling husband. She’s ready to shake things up a little, but will her family even notice?

So when the three women hear about a ‘happiness course’ starting on Hope Street, surely it’s the perfect opportunity to let their hair down, laugh with new friends and maybe even change their lives in ways they never expected....

The Happiness List

I loved this one. All the main characters were lovable and relatable. I now officially adore Annie Lyons and will consume everything she writes. She also has been added to my list of favorite authors. Jaimi Barbakoff is a terrific narrator.

Thank you for sharing your writing gift with me.

This is the second Annie Lyons book that I’ve read and I read them one after the other within three days.

I love her characters and how they interact with each other and I love how her books are about the sadness and the happiness of life and they even have a redemptive quality about them. They helped me to get through a difficult time. Hope Street is a wonderful place to visit!

Language

Such a good story,so why do English authors love the F word. It’s like a slap in the face. It doesn’t improve the story. Authors are supposed to to have a big vocabulary so why not choose a different word. At least the Lords name in vain was kept at a minimum. Do all English women have potty mouths? I can go for years and never hear the F word or the Lord’s name in vain and I hate them in books I listen to!

Please British authors stop

Your nod to American politics when it isn’t part of the story line is getting old.

Boring

Apparently this is a whole book about some boring women becoming friends. Could not finish, didn’t even care to skip to last chapter, the conclusion could not possibly be worth it.

A Lovely read from start to finish

Absolutely loved this book. There is a little bit of all of us in the characters who were so relatable from the start. Leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy and realising that everyone needs to step back sometimes and look at life from all kinds of angle’s. We could all do with a happiness list to help us keep in mind just what really matters and to remember that it changes as life marches on. Highly recommend.
