Broadly Applicable Success Principles
Although this audiobook is specifically focused on successfully completing an academic doctoral program, the principles are broadly applicable to almost any effort that requires persistence, rigor, and determination (like becoming a professional athlete or even establishing a career as a writer). The foundational concepts of vision, values, goals, and self-care are general life principles that everyone could benefit from.
Some non-fiction handbooks do not translate well into audiobook form because the content is highly reliant on charts, graphs, or diagrams that cannot be included in audio form. Dr. Frederick has overcome this obstacle by including a very comprehensive PDF document that accompanies the audiobook with the supporting material necessary for the audiobook to function as a handbook or manual, like the print version would.
This material, along with Dr. Frederick’s podcast, are invaluable resources for a candidate in pursuit of a doctoral degree.
