Publisher's Summary

What if a dragon looked into your eyes...and saw into your soul?

Wenlyn dreams of seeing one of the legendary Harpy's Servants up close. As a poor village boy, he can't help but dream of the adventures the dragon-riding protectors of the realm must have. Now, one of them is coming to Tranquil village.

When the Servant arrives, Wenlyn's entire world falls away, and he embarks on an adventure of his own that even his wildest dreams couldn't have conjured up.

Soar the skies with Wenlyn in this short prequel to Dragon Magic, an epic fantasy series. First volume to be released late in 2018.

Awesome Short

This was a story that we enjoyed from beginning to end, it had great characters and story line, I requested this to listen with my nephew as he loves everything dragons. The narration by Andrew Thacher was good... I would recommend this to others. I received this audiobook review copy from the author and S.O. in exchange for my honest review.

Fun Fantasy

This was a fun story to listen to. I've not read many dragon books and I find that this one really grabbed me. I'm ready to try some more, especially by this author. I love all of her books in other genres already.

The narrator was good, which always makes the listen much better and brings the characters and story to life.

I requested this audio book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Such a Tease - 2 stars for lack of follow through

This short story prequel of sorts was flushed out, not incredibly complicated, enjoyable enough, and a complete tease. The MC is likable and things don't end (or pause) where you'd expect for a typical "dragon rider" type story. Beyond that would be too much for such a short listen. I first listened to this more than a year ago, possibly 2 years ago for all I can remember or dig out of history and despite stumbling onto hints that the author was going to continue it, so far nothing. 4 Stars, if it didn't taunt me every time I saw it in my library...2 stars. I recommend it...but maybe when she's done the next one.

loved this short

Interesting. I’ve held off on this because dragons really aren’t my thing. However, I stumbled into this one and I loved this short. I actually can’t wait for this series to continue!

Awesome Prequel

OMG I absolutely LOVED this story. Wenlyn is such a character and the fact that he loves to irritate his master made me laugh. This short story was such a good prequel to give me just a glimpse into Wenlyn's upcoming adventures. I can't wait to see what Wenlyn gets into. This book was given to me free but this review is all mine!

A Delightful Beginning

This was my first experience with Liesel K. Hill's work and I really enjoyed the short tale. This story has sparked my interest in continuing on with the series once it is written. Andrew Thacher's narration is great. His voice is pleasant and his delivery is agreeable. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

More please

This is the first time that I have read/listened to Liesel K. Hill it won't be the last. I really hope that this is a prologue and there's more in store for the adventurous young Wenlyn. This is very short coming in at under 3/4 of a hour. I'll probably listen to it again.
The narrative brings the story too life.
