Thankful

I couldn't ask for better advice. But, I do wish that this book was printed decades sooner, and that it sooner then right now.

Worth its weight in gold!

I loved this audiobook! So very insightful and helpful to me. I think it has enough wisdom for ten good counseling sessions...that would be a nice chunk of change.

So glad I found this audiobook !

The ideas and principles in this audiobook are so on point for me. I never even knew there was such a subject on a highly sensitive person (HSP). I am about myself! The suggestions in this audiobook with the unique issues I face being an HSP, are truly productive and sort of a freeing experience to have solutions and exercises to put into practice to feel more peace within myself. Thank you to the person in my life who recommended !

Wow, Where do I begin

First, the narrator is not effective. She actually sounds like a computer generated voice. I also find the content insulting. Referring to HSP's as 'delicate' - really? HSP's may be more sensitive to stimuli, but that in no way makes them 'delicate'. The advice in the different chapters is just advice you would get in any business or relationship book. Nothing unique or helpful. I wouldn't waste your money. I'm sorry that I did.

Excellent

Found this an excellent companion resource to Quiet by Susan Cain. The "test" is useful and the entire audiobook offers practical ideas for daily life.

Highly Recommend

I just discovered the concept of the HSP and find it totally fits me. Since it fits and is a new concept for me, I've been reading everything I could find on the subject. I was delighted to find this audiobook and have found it far and away the best on the subject for me. It is not highly technical nor full of the author's personal experiences, just very very readable. I have been busy underlining much in the audiobook for future reference. I definitely recommend this audiobook if you have an interest in or a family member who might benefit from it.

Useful

I can identify with every aspect of this audiobook . I frequently use crystals, sage, burn incense, and keep a gratitude journal to help dispel negativity in my life. This book is packed to the brim with excellent advice (that works!) to keep negative energy out of your life. Everything here is extremely easy to follow. If you are looking to increase your energy, feel happier, and more grounded, and have more solid friendships and relationships this audiobook is for you! Be the change!

I loved the audiobook.

It answered a lot of questions I had about myself and what makes me me. Being a child who was always bullied for being sensitive, and didn’t really like to big crowds, and didn’t quite fit in anywhere. This audiobook was such a great gift to find. It has inspired me as an adult to just be myself. Thanks Judy!🙏

Worth picking up

I haven't finished this yet but it's definitely interesting. A tad dated but that's to be expected as it was written in 1997 or published around then I believe

Disappointing.

Half of this book is dedicated to social anxiety disorder. As I wanted more insight into life as a HSP I was very disappointed and abandoned the book half way through. I'm glad I listened to this as part of a trial and didn't pay for it.

A Good Balance between Theory and Practice

I would recommend that not only highly sensitive people read this book, but also share it with their parents, siblings, spouses, and friends. It is important for them to understand the trait and encourage better relationships.

Very enlightening

This great little book helped explain so many "traits" I never really understood about myself and my nature. I found the explanation of "attachment types" particularly interesting.

Eye opening and informative!

This book helped me put all my life's pieces together. I see now why I am the way I am. Now I will embrace my sensitivity and enhance it instead of working against myself like I have been taught to do for most of my life. Thankful that I read this and I recommend it to anyone.
