Interesting history of meditation

I enjoyed this guided meditations in this audiobook. I skipped the pregnancy part, since that didn't apply to me, but it was beautiful and will definitely share when any friend or family member becomes pregnant. I especially enjoyed listening to the history of meditation. Very calming and relaxing.

Best Meditation book on Audible!

This book is so peaceful and perfect for my meditation. I recently have gotten into meditation and found it difficult to find a resource to guide me. Thankfully, my friend referred me to this book and I am glad they did. This book has been valuable in my meditation.

Best guided meditation

I've been meditating on and off for years. Yet for the last 18 months 1-2 times daily. And I love adding tools to my items to pull from. Dona does an amazing job at giving me a bunch of new tools. I love the different styles here. There are medications for all types of experiences. I use this daily now. Thanks you! Dona!!!

Soothing Meditation

The audible " The History of a Guided Meditation" I found to be soothing and provided an escape from the everyday hustle. Having a place where you can relax and not think of the overwhelming situations around you.

Very calm and soothing audiobook!

I've been trying to get my family into meditation lately and have been looking for resources all over the internet. I think I've finally found the one!

There are so many different kinds of guided meditation sessions in the book to choose from. There's even one you can do with animals!

The narrator's voice is very soothing and excellent for guided meditations. I highly recommend it to all families seeking peace and mindfulness in their lives!

A good book on meditation.

This is a good book on meditation and the author guides you carefully through different techniques and breathing exercises.

There is meditation for various parts of life such as for yourself, pregnancy, babies, kids, teens, animals and much more.

I like the chapters on mindfulness speech as they explain clearly the benefits of awareness before speaking.

I would recommend to anyone wanting a calmer lifestyle.

Perfect way to start your meditation journey

As someone who was looking to get into meditation but wasn't sure where to start, ths audiobook was perfect.
The author uides you through several styles of meditation, and I picked up great pieces of advice and knowledge from all of them.
I really enjoyed the relaxing voice of the narrator and found it easy to follow without distraction.

Interesting and versatile!

I liked how it wasn’t all explaining the practice but actually guides your through some sessions.the narrator has a very calming voice that I think went perfect with this book. Even tho it’s geared towards pregnant woman and family, the generalization of meditation holds true for anyone practicing. I found meditation with animals particularly interesting.

A Masterpiece!

This audiobook takes us on a journey. The first part shares with us the history of meditation. The greatest thing in the world is to understand how to belong to oneself, this wonderful quote epitomizes the strength and depth of this book. My particular favorite part was the piece on meditation with your pet. This is something I do daily.

Just the right meditation scripts for my family

I thought this audiobook is only gonna talk about pure history of meditation given its title, but it is actually packed with meditation scripts for varying audience. I am glad it included script for kids and pregnancy. The author even saved the best for last. The final chapter was amazing. My entire family loved this audiobook in general. And I come back to it every night as it is a good bedtime listen. My soul has never been this peaceful and less anxious for a long time.

Meditation Guide!

That book was an amazing help as I did not really know much about meditations but it was easy to listen to a very helpful guide to understanding the whole process and history of meditations! I already started to meditate now with my partner every single day cause of this. One of my favourite chapters was The Journey of Finding Yourself !! Defo recommended for beginners!

Loved every minute!

I found this audiobook so calming and relaxing, the narrator did a superb job, never once got tired of listening to her relaxing voice, simply loved every single chapter.

If I had to choose my favorite chapter then it would so it be chapter 15, Finding yourself

Amazing audiobook!

Enjoyed this book of mindful exercises

Loved this guide! It's a set of topic-specific meditations, and it's encouraging, reassuring, and calming. I especially liked the chapters on mindful speech, connection with yourself, and connections with the nearest and dearest in my life, including pets. Great mindful exercises!

Relaxing and helpful

Guided meditation exercises and techniques for mindfulness and gratitude, during pregnancy and motherhood.
Meditation is a great way to slow down, improve your self esteem and cope with stress, however sometimes it is difficult to find a good guided meditation. This book is really well done, and a good way to get started, if you are a beginner.
I especially liked the history of meditation and the bonus chapter about finding yourself - very useful for everyone.

An interesting take on meditation audiobooks

I thought the beginning of this audiobook was very interesting, and I very much enjoyed the short history of meditation lesson. The meditations contained in the following chapters leave plenty of space for serene contemplation. I found this one different and refreshing, and I now have it in my library.

informational & entertaining

What I loved the most was the narration, as it really makes you feel like you're listening and learning something new while also being entertained at the same time! It has such a calming effect on me that after every chapter, there are small segments where I find myself smiling or even feeling asleep due just to how easygoing she sounds when speaking.
The content in this audiobook is really powerful - I'm excited by how guided meditation can help us reconnect across generations through different lenses: childhood memories, raising children today, etc. This book will become a way to connect emotionally with your family. In the sense that it's not just about relaxing, but also like getting better as a person and parent for your kids!

So Calming!

I love so many things about this book but if I had to pick one, I would pick the narration. Her voice is so calming you could easily meditate listening to this book. It's not easy to find a book that can teach stuff while helping you do the very thing it is teaching you about. Get this book, if not for anything else, then for just how well narrated it is.
