The International Bestseller—A feel-good, holiday rom com about identical twins who swap lives twelve days before Christmas—perfect for fans of Christina Lauren’s In a Holidaze and Josie Silver’s One Day in December

All they want for Christmas is a different life.

When chef Charlie Goodwin gets hit on the head on the L.A. set of her reality baking show, she loses a lot more than consciousness; she also loses her ability to taste and smell—both critical to her success as show judge. Meanwhile, Charlie's identical twin, Cass, is frantically trying to hold her own life together back in their quaint mountain hometown while running the family's bustling bakery and dealing with her ex, who won't get the memo that they're over.

With only days until Christmas, a desperate Charlie asks Cass to do something they haven't done since they were kids: switch places. Looking for her own escape from reality, Cass agrees. But temporarily trading lives proves more complicated than they imagined, especially when rugged firefighter Jake Greenman and gorgeous physician assistant Miguel Rodriguez are thrown into the mix. Will the twins' identity swap be a recipe for disaster, or does it have all the right ingredients for getting their lives back on track?

Too Boring to Finish

Really surprised at all the good reviews on this one! I was bored immediately and skipped ahead to see if it got better and it does not appear to! Lots of droning about recipes and mundane details. I'm exchanging this one - what a dud!

Basically a Hallmark movie

If you are looking for a book that is simply a Hallmark Christmas movie, this is it. This also has about as much sex as one. I'm sure this is nice for someone but I felt like the romance was pretty juvenile and very tame. This wasn't the book for me.

Should make this a Hallmark movie!

It's solidly G rated and romance is fairly surface level but it's still a cute story. I enjoyed it. I honestly would love to see this made into a Hallmark movie

This was a very cute switching places holiday story. I have always loved the premise of twins switching places and this was a cute, feel good story.

Annoying

I normally don’t write reviews. But this book could not hold my attention! I was annoyed at both the main characters and just felt like there was unrealistic emotions at play! The narration was great but the plot was just boring and unrealistic.

Typical cheesy Hallmark

I picked this up knowing what it was- a Hallmark Christmas movie in book form. That's what I wanted- a soft, easy story.

What I didn't like, however, was the absolute Brainlessness of the protagonists - - 1 in particular. While everything ends up OK in the end, because it's a Hallmark movie, I didn't find myself rooting for these characters.

The narration itself was fine. The narrator Spoke clearly and conveyed emotion.. However, I wish there would have been another narrator, or at least a different voice from the narrator, for the 2 sisters. Identical twins don't usually have the exact same voice.

Easy read (or listen), but quite cliché

I was in the mood for a feel-happy romance and stumbled across this one. For the most part, that’s exactly what this was. Although I found it to be so cliché at a lot of points and pretty unrealistic as far as the things that were happening, the male characters’ actions, etc. (even for a fiction book). In fact, I really struggled getting through the last 2 hours for these exact reasons. Not a bad book, as long as you don’t have high expectations.

Sweet ending

This book had a very sweet ending, which I enjoy in a holiday story. The first half of the book was hard to get into. The narrator did a nice job with distinction between male and female voices, but I didn’t enjoy the style and some of the male voices sounded drunk and females sounded ditzy.
