Publisher's Summary

Will this growly protector break her book-loving heart...or become her second chance at love?

Savanna Vasquez lost her Navy SEAL husband years ago to terrorists, and she doesn’t think she’s capable of falling in love again. So, she busies herself by running her café and buries her face in the pages of fiction for a romantic escape.

But when her late husband’s brother finds his way into her life, bringing a world of danger with him, Savanna is protected by a group of tough former army guys. She feels like she’s inside one of her favorite novels, but she’s not so sure if her happily-ever-after will be guaranteed, especially when she finds herself alone with one of the dangerously handsome Delta operators.

After 20 years of serving his country in the army, Griffin Andrews now works for an elite security team. When he’s sent on a mission to protect a friend of the firm, he never expects to meet a woman who will bring his dead heart back to life. In Griffin’s eyes, Savanna’s still married, even if only in her heart - which means she’s off-limits. Forget the fact she’s also his assignment. With her being hunted by an unknown number of threats, he needs to focus on her safety and not the way she feels in his arms.

Griffin’s resolve begins to slip the more time they spend together, and his self-control snaps. The inexplicable connection between them has them both wondering if maybe they were brought together for another reason.

And as Griffin does everything in his power to save Savanna, he discovers there’s a chance she just might save him, too.

From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Brittney Sahin comes a thrilling new series, full of sizzle and suspense. The Falcon Falls security team will take you on exciting adventures around the globe as the heroes fall in love in these stand-alone romance military novels.

Probably great for the genre, but…,

I tried with this, but as much as I can believe that attraction happens in all kinds of situations, I feel confident that there can be a decent, believable plot AND believable romance mixed together. And all this can happen while giving the female lead some credibility that while her life is in mortal danger, she’s not thinking about sex 90% of the time. Same with the male lead. Thin motivations, tired tropes, boring male stereotypes.

Top notch story!

This wasn't just another bland military type romance. This had more twist and turns in the storyline than military maneuvers! If you like the Maya Banks KGI series, you'll love this! So well written!
I confess that for me, Savannah seemed a bit too weepy at times and the intense friendships with her deceased husband's buddies maybe a little unbelievable, but spicy romance with Griffin combined with the mystery of several black op operations was intense. Luckily, a few gutsy female operatives relieved the "southern belle" persona. It is easy to see a few additional books coming from the group in this 1st in the series.
The audio was good. If I have one complaint, it's when people who do not have a natural Southern accent, try to speak as a Southerner. It's just too fake. However, if you do not live in the South, maybe it's believable!

Interesting start

Loved Sahin’s Stealth OPs and Dublin Nights series. The story was good, there were decent steamy sex scenes, but I was irritated at the repetitive inner dialogue and the heroine personality; too sweet and forgiving for me. It was the performance though that ruined it for me as in I couldn’t escape into the story. I loved Heather Costa and Jeff Kafer but I’m going to go back and listen to the Stealth OPs Echo books again to be sure. With the narration for Falcon Falls, the female narrator’s female voices were good but the men sounded much all the same. The male narrator’s male voices were great and the female voices ok. There was something with the cadence and sped which seemed off to me. I played at 1.1x but there were places where the main characters were suddenly too slow. The male narrator sounded more stoic even with the inner dialogue and non character dialogue but the female narrator had more dynamics I think.
After I’ve reread Echo team I’ll read Falcon Falls again.

Boring

I generally enjoy Brittany Sahin's books but I struggled getting through this one. It's as if she is trying to churn out books too quickly without giving too much thought to the plot and depth of characters.

I couldn't connect to Savannah's character at all, she seemed so weak and just irritated me in places. Griffin's character did not start out too badly but he also didn't really develop a lot. Making characters go through some kind of hardship does not automatically give them depth.

Overall, it did not hold my attention, I stopped and started multiple times and listened to several other books in between.

I’m Proud To Be A SOUTHERN Bell

I enjoyed this book about our “Special Ops Veterans” as well as mostly set in our beautiful State of Alabama. This is a new author for me and I will definitely look for more books written by her. Thank you Brittney Sahin for sharing your wonderful talent with us.

Great story and performance

This is such a good story. There are great characters, lots of suspense and action, and an unexpected romance that proves to be difficult but winds to a happy ending. I really love this story. The performance is very good. This is one I will listen to over and over.

Painful.

I can't even put my finger on why this book is painful to listen to. The performance is average, but the storyline is taking forever to move along. I can't even force myself to continue listening in the car. Bummer because it looked like it would be a good series.

Wonderful book

I absolutely loved the start to this new series. Having met some of these characters before I was excited to see what’s next. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. It was fabulous, compelling, suspenseful and an all round great book. Loved the narration too. I’ll be listening to this book many times. Awesome

Great start to the series.

This was the first book I've read or listened to by this author and I'm planning to listen to the next in the series straight after. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters and at times laughed out loud at some of the things they said and did. The narration was well done and having two narrators helped to tell the story from both points of view.
