Publisher's Summary

When you go to sleep, the world doesn't rest with you.

As John's closed-door cultivation continues, Sarah decides it's time to make a name for herself.

Her goal of sharing her knowledge of medicine comes to fruition by offering to teach a few apprentices for the Sword sect.

Unfortunately, knowledge is sometimes best kept secret.

For one can teach an art, but not the ethics behind it.

Dive into the new issue of The Idle System - this time, from Sarah's perspective. You won't want to miss it. A woman's touch can be especially unique in a universe filled with planetary destruction and bloodline exterminations.

A good side track

This Book was a good story, that they switched story teller im not sure if i liked but i can see Why they did it bc its a new perspektiv. The story was really good and i agree that the wife of the mc wude do stuff the years the mc was gone. Wude recommend if you have read the first 4 Books.

I liked it.

Okay, so if you have read books 1-4 then this book will be a little different as you are following johns wife, Sarah. Now this is not a draw back. I actually really enjoyed following her journey. I do recommend you give this book a try. I'm excited for book 6. One of my complaints about the book is the robotic voice used for the skill list but honestly I didn't really notice it after a while. Now I'm not going to go into much detail here as not to spoil anything but here is my warning. *SPOILERS* WHY does she not use her truth serum on the "person" once she learns who it is?! This is my only gripe with this book. Also for this book being about a healer we don't get to see much of that tbh. Its a good murder mystery though.

John is in the book

The reviews almost made me skip this one but it is a good story after you get used to the new narrated. Christian did a good job but it's hard after 4 books with the same voices. This story is about what a healer would do with all John's powers trying to solve a murder mystery. Give it a chance and listen until the end. Pegaz made the right choice by not just doing a big-time skip.

Very bad narrator

Could not stand the narrator, her voice on the edge of breaking was so bad I stopped after a few chapters. Loved the other books never again with this series.

Great filler book!

It can be frustrating sometimes to receive a filler book to a series you are craving continuation, but this addition is so close to the main story that it really does feel like a necessary chapter. The story DOES progress in this book and I felt it had many of the same elements that makes John’s story great. Definitely worth a pickup if you plan to stick with this series, can’t wait for more!

worst production scheme

bundle a series, then change the narrator and also do an in between book to grab more money.

although the previous narrator found out how to pronounce miscelanious in the 4'th book, he had charm. the new guy is dreadful. the main character is crying. always. it's difficult to listen and engage with the story.

and who thought it a good ideea to change a lit rpg stat system narration on the 5th book?

terrible production decisions. hope book 6 gets a better team. Pegaz's story deserves it.

prefer this narrator

I definitely prefer this guys voicing for John. Yes they should have used English narators and this book in particular should have had a female narator but was still a much better voice for him. The last one was excessively whiney for an mc.

Anyway aside from the voice stuff I enjoyed the book and the series so far. You get a bit too meta some times with trying to get ahead of potential people questioning why something is working the way it is like you are trying to head of an argument (oh i agree on your harem cmsentiment by the way although I have read too many of those books) . Also you get overly defensive in some of your afterwards about the mc being op you don't need to an op character is fun sometimes or the different perspective of this novel. Its your story tell it how you like. Also its non of my business to tell you how you should write either so feel free to ignore me and keep doing what your doing

Meh

The story is from Sarah's POV due to John being asleep for 9 years, which is fine. It was nice to see what Sarah thinks and does, I feel it went on a little too long, mainly due to John being fun and Sarah is a bit of a wet rag really, but she held her own and did ok. The performance, erm, I love the voice for john now with this narrator, much more manly and that is about it. Mr Gilliland struggles with female voices, they all sound pretty much the same and none of them sound female, they all sound like they have just smoked 50 cigars and Sarah always sounds one step from bursting into tears. I thought the narrator of the first four books was poor but this takes it to a whole new level. But the thing that really gets me is this, both Sarah and John are English, so why didn't the publishers use an English narrator or at least a narrator that can do an English accent? Also, knowing that this book is predominantly from a female POV why didn't they use a female to narrate it, they changed the narrator anyway and there are plenty of female narrators that can do excellent male and English voices, very, very strange. The story is good the narration is poor, ruined the book, I suggest just reading it.

I liked it

I liked how it was a female view of the world but the narrator seem to be out of breath after each sentence or something was hitting the mic it wasn’t rushed but could hear a huff after each sentence
But other then that I liked it
