Story
Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Death and reincarnation. Kuroe Makoto, the tomboyish ace of her high school track-and-field club, never spared a thought for these things before. However, when she falls asleep in her Tokyo home after an exhausting marathon and wakes up in a fantasy world, those concepts become her reality. Unlike common light novel settings, she isn't reincarnated as the naturally good-looking and talented human hero who gathers a harem effortlessly. In fact, she isn't reincarnated as a human at all. She is reborn as "Chaos", child of the demon queen and heir to a kingdom at war with humanity.

Getting reincarnated in another world populated by humans, demi-humans, and mythical beasts is certainly not the turn I thought my life was going to take. I especially didn’t expect to be carried off by a wolf and given into the care of a one-armed former knight. Now, I’m trying to repay him by rebuilding the family inn and healing his arm with alchemy.

Ignore the detractors and enjoy it for what it is
Morality is a subjective thing, which is a point expressed often in this. But the reality is that it doesn’t matter in a tale of an air headed, unhinged squirrel girl with godlike powers.
This isn’t as strong as book 1, but is by no means bad. I like the paths it took, and the introduction of a (hopeless) love contender to Durandel was appreciated. I hope that character returns in book 3, and she and Lucia find common ground and manage some degree of relationship. With or without the sword spirit, who honestly continues leaving me a bit ‘meh’. He just isn’t interesting, and is the cause of many of Lucia’s moral ineptitudes. Plus he just has no depth. His goal is to get stronger. Why? To get stronger. And then? Well, get even stronger. ugh. I dislike that manblade. The bunny girl is far better, has a brain, and overall just feels more like an actual person. Which, to be fair, she is and Durandel isn’t.

Mixed feelings.
I went into this not sure the godkings legacy needed a sequel and even after listening to the whole thing.... I'm still not sure. Much of it feels like going through the same motions as the last one in a slightly different setting. I thought it was performed well and it certainly wasn't dull.... but something nags at me,
I think it's the newest member of lucille's scooby gang. without wishing to spoil her exit was heartbreaking. The worst of it is where the first novel had a tight ending this one... kinda drops the ball. I dunno something feels very wrong about where it ended - I cant even call it a cliffhanger it just kinda... stops. leaving major character arcs and plots unresolved especially for the aforementioned newbie who exists the book with baggage still... also get used to lucille talking about sex she won't stop it no matter how tiresome it becomes. Maybe it has to do with how its always interfering with the newcomers plot and that was what I was finding most interesting. The formula ran a bit thin for me this time around and hey I like the formula mostly but I worry we're beginning to repeat set pieces a bit much.
It ends with the promise of another book and... I can't say for sure I'd wanna pick it up. So much of this book relies on a satisfying third installment I have no idea if I should recommend it or not.

Not a great squeal.
The MC is a bully and an idiot. She rapes without a care in the world. Kills millions of people feeling no remorse and blames others for problems she caused. She runs away and will abandon her friends when she's facing a stronger opponent. There basically was no character development from the first story. Its just all her flaws were multiplied by 1000. The new girl that falls in love with her is an idiot too. She falls in love with her after groping her repeatedly.

More crazy Squirrels-kin
Honestly I thought the first book ended right and I didn't feel like there was need for a sequel. This second book felt like the same story from the first book retold with higher stakes and different people. That being said the humor was still the same from the first book and the reverse Isakia scenario that plays out is kinda cool. Although if something really interesting doesn't happen in the next book I'll probably be done with the series. There's only so many times that the same jokes can be told and still be funny.

Fun throughout if not as needed
I mean it's Lucia and Durandal in another world and her terrorising the people to make herself a God to them, what's not to love!? Fantastic fun throughout...
but
little unneeded, some of the plot was just Lucia being the crazy powerful demonic evil that she's always been along with the adorable squirrel girl parts and it had a little repetitive nature with the disappearance of Durandal in the book.
Outside of those parts, it's still fantastic, I love it!

Weird, often hilarious, surreal, definitely not for children
There were a few times I couldn’t breathe from laughing, largely due to the narrator’s superb performance of an air-headed killing machine easily distracted by acorns. Why I should find “digdigdigdigdig!” so funny I really couldn’t say!
My only criticism of this series is the way the author keeps flipping between inner voice and outer voice and back, which gets confusing in an audiobook. Takes time to adjust to it.

Rampaging, Robbing and Ransacking the World.
Lucia, which might aswell be lucifer for the 'Higher' plane cultivation world. Is once again forced to seek ridiculous levels of powers in order to become a mother before she reaches the end of her youthfulness! most of the jokes are based on troupes of cultivation novels and how a truely A-moral person can easily crush thier complacent way of life given enough strength.
The unique if a bit extreme ways the author utilizes these troupes is what gives most of the novel its story beats. While the rest is getting rich, more powerful and more terrifying. I enjoyed the placebo effect of the intelligence necklace as with boundless confidence and a danger warning tail, lucia is basically a squirrel among acorns.
A point that sticks out is when she hands in the merits she forgets about the earth ranked heads so they are proberbly still inside a storage ring.
The voice acting bumps up the rating 1.5 for me as Mare really nails all the voices perfectly.

Where's the dog
Lucia is an unstoppable force with an unstoppable appetite for chaos. It's a lot of fun seeing the contrast between how normal people and Lucia would interact with the immortal continent, though somewhere down the line, I stopped caring about the stakes since there was no impending doom other than some lightning bolts and Lucia's libido. Reena's perspective was a nice change of pace to Lucia's *Me smash and me eat* approach, though it was short lived.
Immortal continent was a sequence of small jokes this time round and I was thoroughly entertained throughout. I hope to be completely caught off guard by Virlyce's writing and Mare Trevethan's narration in the future.
