A revolutionary approach to long term business strategy from the best-selling author of start with why.
The New York Times best-selling author of Start With Why, Leaders Eat Last, and Together is Better offers a bold new approach to business strategy by asking one question: are you playing the finite game or the infinite game?
In The Infinite Game, Sinek applies game theory to explore how great businesses achieve long-lasting success. He finds that building long-term value and healthy, enduring growth - that playing the infinite game - is the only thing that matters to your business.

Visionary and Courageous
Even though Simon Sinek has built on the original work of Professor James P. Carse, he has managed to package a message of courage and a vision that would not only be more sustainable and valuable to society, but to any business as well. The fact that Simon narrates the content himself is a major plus - it is not a dull reading, but full of passion and conviction. The content is thought provoking on an individual level but should also be shared and considered at a business leadership level. The life we live and the activities we engage in to sustain our journey requires a different mindset than the one most of us where taught or conditioned to accept. "Life is a journey, not a destination" the familiar quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson goes, but soon we may be saying to each other : "Life is an infinite game" as per Simon Sinek, when we want people or corporations to focus on advancing a just cause, building teams that trust, to study and welcome worthy rivals, be prepared to flex and have the courage to lead. This is the insight: we must stop aiming at a fictional "destination" where we can be declared "the winner" - there are no "winners" in business or of life!

A great message.
I would recommend this book to every educator and parent. I would recommend and abridged version even more vigorously. A great message but over elaborated.

good but not as great as his other works
good book but slightly repetitive and too idealistic for a real world application. I love the performance thought

A beacon of hope for a meaningful business world.
Struggling to find a path for a meaningful way of doing business, or going about making you life's legacy? Read this!
Simon does it again with an in depth look of what the business world should be, and could be. An idea that would pretty much make this a better world for all if the business world and the nations leader would embrace.

Open your mind
Every statement was met with a hell yes.
Every meeting I went into I was seeing the finite and infinite mindsets.
Mind blown!

Good concept, but didn’t need a book to explain it
Big fan of Simon, but I found the book long winded and found examples of the infinite game to be too simplistic and/or contrived.

Sinek on point - as usual
Closely tied to Sinek’s other work, this book inspires to walk the talk... or if you’re missing a “why”, to help you define one that stands the test of time with a high ethical bar. Five stars. Awesome

Can't wait for the next book.
Another great book by Simon Sinek. I have read all the books by him and they are very inspiring and calling for change in society and us.
Simon - If you do get to read this review. After reading your first book "Start With Why" I quit my job in the industry that I worked for more than 10 years. When I read your books and recommend them to others I say - just be careful as your world view is about to change.

Back on form
If you were a fan of Start with Why but disappointed by Simon Sinek's Leaders Eat Last or Find Your Why, then he's very much back on form here. I just can't get enough and highly recommend.

Repetitive
I can't say it's a bad book. But beeing honest, it's nothing new, the ideal is the same as with all Simons books and the premise doesn't change.
why 4 stars then? Because Simon is an idealist just like myself and I agree with with his ideals.
I'm beginning to think he's just milking it a bit too much.

Sublime
Not only for business people, but for everyone. This book opened more my mind to the meaning of life. Everyone with a spark of good inside could get inspired and think onwards what choices they make for improving their life and especially the lives of others in the long term. This book would teach me patience in life working for a better tomorrow.
What I've thought before, it's actually here too: that better is better than the best. The process in getting better and sticking to our Just Cause might be long (actually being infinite) and not pleasant at all times but it's more worth it than to look only for the short-term material success.

One trick pony
The author seems to make a career out of stating the bleeding obvious. Of course, common sense is rarely common, so his first book had some value perhaps.
But for me his last two have been pointless, boring and totally unnecessary.

Slow to start, makes some good points though
I’ve read 4 of his book now I think. It’s good, not a page turner like leaders eat last or start with why, still enjoyed it 😀.

Simple point made well
Storytelling revolved around big corporations used effectively to illustrate how an infinite mindset leads to possibilities that don’t exist for those with more finite one taking in corruption and greed along the way. Written in his typical nice style to illustrate one simple point but the range of material does provide space to reflect on your own mindset and the organisation you represent. Nice read

Outstanding!!!
The optimist is back.
The fact that not all of us has clear Just Cause as Mr.Jobs or Dr. Luther, the reason to find one or join one is so relatable to me.
I might join Simon Sinek’s cause to make people safer at meaningful work and be a Infinite player in life.
I think everyone should read this book and spread the idea of this optimist.
Another great job Simon, I’m one of your cause followers now.

A vital read
Perfect for anyone interested in leading or being a part of an ethical business that works with a people first mentality (so, everyone hopefully). Could not recommend more highly. Absolutely changed the direction of my life and clarified so many anxieties I have about the state of business today.

Rethink your whole approach to life
The Infinite Games made me rethink my approach to life, to identify areas where I’m already an Infinite Game player, and where I need to improve.
Playing the infinite game is not just a more sustainable way but a more humane and fun way.
Thanks Simon! Love every single bit!
