Publisher's Summary

Right after she finishes her BLT, disgraced Major Tanis Richards is off to save the day one more time.

Tanis is looking forward to a long journey in stasis before arriving at the newly terraformed world of New Eden. New Life. New Start. Getting a berth on the Intrepid is her ticket out of the Sol System.

But nothing proves easy for Major Tanis Richards. Nothing is at it seems. What should be a simple trip is fraught with danger and filled with adventure. An array of forces seek to stop the Intrepid - no matter the cost, or lives lost. From competing corporations, to stellar eco-terrorists, no one wants the Intrepid to arrive at New Eden.

Through their journey, the crew of the Intrepid will face rival stellar governments, civil war, and the most wanted serial killer known to the galaxy. Pivoting their role from colonists to saviors.

Perhaps it's because the Intrepid carries the most valuable secret known to humanity. Or maybe it's just Tanis's luck.

Boring

Mind numbing. Very slow and boring. I’m 5 hours in, and I give up. No aliens, or war, or anything of substance. It’s just a military women playing security on a space station , and she keeps getting attacked by terrorists over and over and over. No detail about the galaxy at large or the current government.

could use a couple significant male characters...

I love strong female characters but this is a bit too much. even Joe is really Tanisha candy. sometimes it's just the story... but every main character is a woman?every time?

Loved this Story!

This one has a female protagonist and takes place in 4123. Humans have settled the solar system and most live decades longer. The story includes lots of action. My only complaint is the very long star date, earth date, etc., beginning each chapter. The month and day would be enough.

Fantastic story but a mountain of acronyms

Excellent story but really needs a glossary for the acronyms. Should have read them out a few more times. Definitely reccomend writing some of them down.

Disappointing

One skirmish after another in the first hour of the book—I kept waiting for a story to develop. I wanted to get to know the characters well enough to care about them but the long, detailed battle scenes got in the way.

High pitched whining when audio keyed

I couldn’t get through the story due to the fact that any time the narrator had his mic keyed, a horrible low volume keening could be heard. Some kind of minor feedback or short in the system.

I was looking forward to this story, but couldn’t get through the first chapter.

Not bad! Not bad at all!

I found the story entertaining despite some flaws. I plan on completing the series.
