Story
Five tales which range from the jungles of India to the frozen emptiness of the North... In all of them, Kipling's extraordinary powers of description and ability to identify with human aspiration and animal survival are vividly shown. Rikki-Tikki-Tavi must battle with Nag, the cobra, in his territory; Toomai has a unique glimpse of the elephant world, Kotick, the White Seal, searches for sanctuary, while Kotuko has to find food for his starving Eskimo village. Above all, Kipling's love of life in all its variety shines through.

Story
Here are 2 classic thrillers by a master of suspense. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde> explores the split nature of man. Dr. Jekyll, a respectable man, transforms into an alter ego named Mr. Hyde who carries out all the wickedness Dr. Jekyll represses. In the body of Mr. Hyde, Jekyll finds freedom from the bonds of social convention but soon finds himself lured deeper into violence, and ultimately murder. The second tale, Markheim, tells of a robber named Markheim who murders a shopkeeper on Christmas day. Award-winning British narrator Ralph Cosham does justice to these 2 bone-chilling tales.

Story
A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C.S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old Devil to his nephew, Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.

I did not like the narration. It was too quite and had way too much bass. The narrator has weird breaks or pauses in his sentences. I may have enjoyed reading it better.

Impossible to understand!
I was really excited to start this book but I stopped 30 minutes in since I could not understand one full sentence! The voice is so bassy! It sounded good on my good quality speakers when I tried the sample but I realized my mistake as soon as I started listening to it with my earbuds. I ditched this audio book and bought Peter Batchelor's version in order to finish the book.

Great Book - Terrible Reader
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The reader sounded like he was out of breath. The pauses were in all the wrong places and the inflection was all over the place. Ex. Instead of simply reading "Messua was kind to me", the reader reads, "Messua was kiiiiind (stretching out the word "kind")..then pause....to me"

Audio very hard to understand
The book was good, but the narrator was awful. very hard to understand him. The space between sentences was negligible, so it was really hard to tell where one sentence began and another ended. I had to read along in the book to understand what he was saying. His enunciation isn't clear.
Great story, but find another narrator.

Alan Munro helps me sleep
I give this narrator 5 stars, simply because he helps me sleep when nothing else will work, and his voice is a good alternative to meditation! Some people would see this as a negative, and I must admit I don't know what the stories are about 90% of the time, but at least my anxiety goes away when I start to listen and I can sleep soundly.
