Publisher's Summary

Can a handful of Rangers decide the fate of a kingdom?

Lasgol and his companions are immersed in their missions as Specialist Rangers. The situations and problems they will face are much greater than they imagined.

The civil war in Norghana intensifies. King Thoran, with the support of the eastern nobles and an army of mercenaries paid with the gold of the crown, wants to put an end to the rebellion. He wants to end the King of the West and his League by any means necessary.

Our friends will be involved in intrigues, betrayals, persecutions, murders, battles, sieges, and all kinds of situations that will test their loyalty not only to their kingdom, but to their friends and colleagues.

enjoyed

I am really enjoying the series.

My only issue is Ingrid constantly disparaging remarks to Viggo. it gets old.
All of them are teenagers but if someone is your friend and teammate you are not constantly rude.
Ingrid always wants to punch someone if she doesn't like what they say, that gets annoying.
Nilsa and Gerd always being afraid of magic is getting old too.

I really enjoy Lasgol, Egel and Viggo that is the only reason I enjoy the series.

Ingrid needs to grow up, you can be strong without having to be rude.

Main Character has to tell his girl everything but she is allowed secrets

Author has a real problem with writing about modern social issues. He can’t keep his ideological views of the story to its detriment. The dynamic between the boys and girls is just puke worthy. Someone needs to make an improved edit of this series

The author can irritate me!

The author can irritate me with Gurd and Neilsa, the get childish around magic even though it saves their lives, also( spoiler alert) they went through training should have tried a poison remedy as the naturalist said it would counteract most poisons instead of just letting him die!!! Other than that it is a great series overall

Good story bad execution

I keep listening to the book because it’s a good story but it’s infuriating. They’re like ooh the west is bad and ágil’s brother should be king and then he sees with his gift, a trap and tells the head ranger about it so he can warn everyone. Over and over. The same thing happened when they were fighting the people of the ice. He can’t keep his mouth shut. And another thing that irritates me is how he wasn’t suppose to let anyone pet his panther but everyone does. Then Gurd is commanding her omg. It’s like the writer thinks we won’t remember what happened in previous books. And when Vigo comes up and is like hey guys and they don’t know who he is. I can pick out my best friend out of a crowd by the way he breaths. I just can’t believe the amount of errors.
It’s just irritating, good story it’s just like the writer had forgotten things he’s written In previous books

Bad Ending for now

This series I went into hesitant, but it quickly became one of my favorites. But the ending of this book is lack luster and honesty quite awful. All of these climaxes to end so abruptly without detail or fight, is very poor. Hopefully the next book will be better, or as good as the others.

Enjoyable.

I cannot praise this series highly enough. It is well written, with wonderful characterisation and flowing creativity.I always look forward to the next novel.
The narrator is absolutely brilliant.

I didn’t find this book enjoyable

It should be noted that this book is translated, so the original may be much better. However the way this book is written is sometimes frustrating to listen too, even if the overall story isn’t that bad. The dialogue and how characters react to events is far to animated, and sometimes unrealistic. There are parts like the main character is somehow untouchable, and has relatively weak characteristics.

When I listened to the first couple of books in this series I was able to look past the bad parts and find the book enjoyable and exciting. I find that now these books are more painful to listen to, and the story is just not worth it anymore.

A great listen!!

I'd recommend this series to any young listener. a stroy line that isn't always predictable keeps you on the edge of your seat!
