Publisher's Summary
George Markham has a nasty little hobby, one that erupts into an orgy of viscous sexual depravity. Patrick Kelly is a hard man. His one soft spot is his daughter, and when she falls victim to the Grantley Ripper, Kelly wants revenge. The DI in charge of the case is Kate Burrows. She feels for Kelly but her growing involvement with a known villain is putting her career at risk... As the forces of law and order and London's underworld converge in a huge manhunt, Kate fears she'll lose everything she's ever cared about... to the ladykiller.

Creepy Killer!
Wow! Interesting read. Enjoyable long listen that took me down surprising roads, some I am still travelling down in contemplation. Not much about the investegation, instead you are "in the head" of the criminal and detective and what drives of them.

Not for the easily offended
Would you listen to The Ladykiller again? Why?
Quite probably as I feel I might have missed some of the finer details - that said it is a story that bears a second read anyway.
What does Annie Aldington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
An excellent narator, varied charactors each with their own little quirks - I always feel this adds much to the telling
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, this is a book to be enjoyed when you can relax and take it on board.
Any additional comments?
Not for anyone offended by bad language - that said it is in context.

used to like this author
I found this book really boring and the narration was like something out of "Eastenders" so many London cliche phrases stuffed into one book..."Leeeeve it aaaaaaout" "I aint done nuthin to deserve this daaaarlin".(my words) The characters were unbelievable and the story was slow and dull. I fast forwarded some of it to get to the end sooner. I was really surprised that this top selling author wrote such a poor story. Lots of unneccesary padding and overall it was more like someone's first attempt at a book. I wouldn't recommend when there are so many good crime thrillers out there.

Dissapointing
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No, there is more sub plots than plot, and the side stories swamp the main story
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would have liked to explore the murderer a bit more, and I was definitely uninterested in the detectives love life
Which scene did you most enjoy?
The opening scene was quite dark
Could you see The Ladykiller being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?
Wouldn't be interested in any film or programme myself
Any additional comments?
We have a psychopathetic murderer on the loose, terrorising a small town, yet the book is all about the detectives relationship with a East End gangster and their sexual exploits

Magnificent
Amazing storyline and brilliantly written but what really lifts this is the outstanding narration. Annie Aldingtons superb characterisation brings every character to life. Believable and brilliant

Very graphic. This should have a rating for disgusting
Suffered to the end. Just too explicit with gore side to be an enjoyable story.
