Publisher's Summary

A treasure hunt into the deepest cave system in Europe takes a turn for the worst. Now, rather than treasure, it is survival that is at the forefront of the spelunkers' thoughts. But their attempt to escape out of the dark deep places is thwarted. Men are not at home in the depths. But there are things that are... pale terrifying things. Huge things. Things red in tooth and claw.

Very Pricey

STOP, don't get started unless you want to pay abt $10.50 for less than 4 hours of book, then another $10.50 for less than 4 hours, then another $10.50 for less than 4 hours. Good story, but should be one book, one purchase, not three! For less than 12 hours, it costs about $31.50. A lot for only 12 hours.

Great story , difficult narrator.

The story is cool and creative , but the narrator doesn’t seem to understand when it is correct to speak with emphasis and when not to. Sounds like he should be doing short movie trailers instead. Makes it difficult to stay engaged, decent with different character voices though.

Sci-fi thrill ride

I enjoyed this well plotted adventure. The narrator took a bit for me to get used to, but overall he does a good job. The author did a great job with his tale and made an impossible to put down book.

It's fast paced.

It's got that "Small Group of Explorers" tale going for it. Overall I did enjoy the story. I think the creatures were just there and gone to quick for me. Definitely going for the next book though.

Fun ride adventure novel

Interesting take on adventure novels. It has the struggle to survive, antagonists played by strange undiscovered creatures and the lure of buried (really deeply buried) treasure in a strange land. Author does a decent job of describing the biome and you do get to know the characters (my favorite was the dog). The story is 4 stars, could have fleshed it out a little more and even though it had several fast paced action scenes it still seems to drag just a little in spots. The narrator does a decent job of differentiating the lines by voicing the characters differently but was really slow, I listened at 1.2 and it sounded like regularly paced speech

A good presentation of a classic adventure.

I enjoyed this adventure story. A simpler version of Journey to the Center of the Earth, but very enjoyable dialogue and characters.
